LOL the Leafs Lose again, & they werent even playing ACC Battle for January 19th

I saw this on twitter this afternoon..

As many of you know the NHL season will start on Saturday January 19th of course the ACC is Booked solid on the 19th & 20th Rock on saturday and Raps on sunday.

Toronto Rock were approached politely by the Leafs about moving their Sat. Jan. 19 home opener from the ACC, but have said no.


Good for the Rock to stand up, and how rude and uncalled for for the leafs to try that crap lol serves them right.

i could maybe possibly understand about a afternoon game but nah!, but having the nerve to tell them to leave the arena nah not on my watch.

After all the Rock & NLL actually CARE about our fans unlike the NHL & NHLPA who fought over millions for 4 months lol

Its a hockey arena that is used on occasion for lacrosse & basketball
The Rock have contractual right to use the hockey arena that so they have the right to refuse

Oh totally, i just couldnt believe the leafs would pull that kind of stunt, but then again nothing suprises with the dumb ownership group of mlse, with their bad trades, bad choices with coachs (tfc) and and keeping wilson for 3 years and no playoffs lol

Yes the rock had the authority to have the arena.

but lets not forget the little guys. Many more businesses around the ACC are supported by the Leafs. And have been waiting a long time for a pay cheque.

it would not have hurt the Rock...as much as it hurts the little guys, to change dates.

If they tried bully tactics that might be a different matter but if you don't ask, you don't get.

And to somehow link that to things like trades and coaches etc. is dumb.

yeah really it would be a different story all together if they asked them to play a afternoon game, not ask them to move from the arena that day.

Even a afternoon game for the rock would fuck things up for our fans who alot have plans before like the HHOF and dinner and philly wings fans making the trip down, plus there wayyy more families and kids attending too

it just baffles me lol smh

YES that leaked out the rest of the games will be released on friday, im sure most are glad they dont start in buffalo or boston as they have a better chance of winning in montreal or ottawa, but nothing is garenteed!
