You beat me to it! Was thinking exactly the same thing when I read that. :thumb:If we can't get people tested for that before they become parents I doubt we can do it for dog owners. Just sayin'

German Sheppards and other police dogs where NOT BRED as fighting dogs. there is no comparison. police dogs a are not provoked by children riding bikes on the street off thier owners property
Amen brother!![/B]
Seriously??? keep thinking that..police dogs no...german sheperds...and any other dog ..TRAINED..to protect will...it doesnt matter the breed...FFS..a fucking YORKIE would attack an intruder if someone was aggressive towards their owner..
Its the way they were trained.....it is NOT the DOG....get it thru your head!!!!!!its the OWNER!!!
TAKE any pitbull..Staffordshire Terrier..American Staffordshire Terrier...remove them from the aggressive environment they were BORN into and they can be as docile as any other pet....
THATS what I'm getting at!!!
Get a bird FFS...oh wait they can be trained to BITE too......
you'd probably be safer with a CHIAPET...just water it and enjoy....

He passed in '99, still miss him. What breed is your dog?
I wish my dog can protect me from a pitbull attack. The only mid-size
breed to beat a pitbull I can think of would be a bull terrier based on what
I read about them. I was told not-withstanding a warm temperature they
are pound-for-pound the most powerful dog.
And I'm sure the dog told him that personally.....LMAOHere's part of the article on the NP:
Pitbull owners and their predictable denials...
Pit bull owners live in a dream palace, where all dogs are good, and when they are bad, it can be attributed only to bad ownership or the dogs being “provoked” by the animals or people they ravage. Never to genetics, never to the fact that pit bulls were bred for impulsive aggression of exactly this type.
At a certain level, pit bull owners understand very well that their dogs are programmed for joy in fighting. They understand very well that when pit bulls attack, it is almost always suddenly and randomly, almost never defensively.
But they can’t admit that. So when their pit bull lunges at a cat and bites its head off, they tell themselves this is the way it is with animals, even though it is rare for any other breed to kill any other animal for no reason. They tell themselves, for a real-life example, when their pit bull attacks and practically scalps a three-year old girl climbing out of a car, that the sudden opening of the car door was the trigger — in other words, the kid had it coming. It’s never the dog’s fault.
Of course real dog fighting men have no such illusions. Dog fighters want pit bulls precisely because they are “game,” because they know that this is the only naturally aggressive breed that can be counted on to fight to the death. They’re not pets, they’re weapons. As the famous, revered, pit bull-loving dog whisperer Cesar Milan put it, when explaining why pit bulls cannot be treated like ordinary dogs:
“This is a different breed … the power that comes behind bull dog, pit bull, presa canario, the fighting breed — They have an extra boost, they can go into a zone, they don’t feel the pain anymore. … So if you are trying to create submission in a fighting breed, it’s not going to happen. They would rather die than surrender. … If you add pain, it only infuriates them … to them pain is that adrenaline rush, they are looking forward to that, they are addicted to it. … That’s why they are such great fighters. … You’re going to have these explosions over and over because there’s no limits in their brain.”
Mr. Jaquish likely doesn’t want to know the statistics on pit bull attacks relative to other breeds. If he took seriously the fact that pit bulls or pit bull crosses were responsible for more than a third of dog bite related fatalities, or that in the first 8 months of 2011, nearly half of those killed by pit bulls were the dog’s owner, he might have to admit that he was putting his own children at special risk. He doesn’t want to go there.
The dogs have been seized by Animal Services and will undergo “behaviour testing” to see if they can go back to their owner. What’s to test, dude? They’re pit bulls. They get “explosions” in their brains. Q.E.D.

Ummm....where do you think I got this from you dolt!!!!why don't you tell a police officer that work with police dogs in the Toronto Police service the same crap you typed in this thread?
None of those have ever caused me, nor most of the population, much trouble. The disproportionate high number of fatal PB attacks makes your point really weak., but you heard all that the last time we discussed it. The only Pitbull I ever met up close decided to snarl at me at the top of the basement stairs. I close the door on his face and knocked him down the stairs. After the owner apologized left and right for the dogs behavior, asking me not to report him or the dog, I left the house. The owner got rid of the dog within the year.Well..if you're worried about agressive dogs around you and yours......then include rotties..german sheperds..collies...chows..sharpeis..poodles..cocker spaniels..great danes...bloodhounds...Any Terrier group dog....St.Barneys....pyrenees..irish wolf hounds...and the list goes on and on and on......
any dog......A.N.Y DOG..can be trained to be aggressive.!!!!
Why not, they are trained 'not' to attack or challenge without a command from their handler.Ummm....where do you think I got this from you dolt!!!!
They use our property all the time to train the dogs...read it carefully now... I did say ...TRAINED.....would I approach a police dog on a leash..HELL NO..(and I have BTW when they have been training them)..but they have been...wait for it...TRAINED to react that way...you know special phrases and such(..am I getting thru here?..comprhending this well??)..when I have asked to approach the dog(s)..and the handler has acknoledge to me that it was ok......surprise ..surprise.....the dog love belly rubs!!!!
Are you purposely being this thick? or is it coming naturally??
Do you think that maybe...just maybe...that your reaction wasnt the first time someone reacted in a similar way?.causing the dog to take that defensive posture?...hit me in the face with a door or kick/knock me down the stairs a few times...and I'm gonna be pissed at you....or anyone else for that matter that I'm not familiar with.......None of those have ever caused me, nor most of the population, much trouble. The disproportionate high number of fatal PB attacks makes your point really weak., but you heard all that the last time we discussed it. The only Pitbull I ever met up close decided to snarl at me at the top of the basement stairs. I close the door on his face and knocked him down the stairs. That depends on the dogs specific purpose...crowd control(they are trained to present an agressive posture..to keep the crowd at bay...), until I know what the trainer has trained him for I dont/wont approach....Why not, they are trained 'not' to attack or challenge without a command from their handler.
LMAO ..who says?..ever tried?a pit bull cannot do what those dogs are doing
LMAO ..who says?..ever tried?
Wasnt there a PIG that could do that?..I heard that somewhere...cant recall exactly.....
Oh and I'm sure border collies would NEVER bite anyone...good to know
I heard he likes booze. So he hates pitbulls and cyclists... Is there anything he does like?
My dog got into a fight for his life with a pitbull, years before the ban, and he ended up almost killing the pitbull. He had the dog at his mercy.
At the time my dog was in the prime of his life and a very lean 75lbs.
