Their point was what? That people are killed in war - where are the Dutch, Belgium, French, Korean even German protesters at Remembrance Day activities. That they disagree with Government Policy - this was Toronto they can't get to Ottawa?
What war are we fighting in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Korea, or Germany?

If one person from one ethnicity shows up to protest the honouring of soldiers from a recent war shows up, then a representative from all ethnicities involved in previous wars should show up as well?

Well then were were was the Native American delegation? The Americans?

Are they still killing the Dutch, Belgiums, French, Koreans and Germans?

In other news, a woman is taking a Muslim barber to the Human Rights Commission for refusing to cut her hair. I know, I know, the usual suspects on this Board will defend the barber by saying the stupid woman should have gone to another barber.

How did a Canadian/Afghan's opposition to the war in Afghanistan become a "pro-Taliban" move??
Absolutely, when was the last time you saw Afghans protesting suicide bombings by the Taliban? On the other hand, 20 people did protest the shooting of 15 year old Malala by the Taliban.

What other argument is there?

The barbershop went as far as offering to get her a non-Muslim barber to cut her hair. She refused claiming it was the principle. Why must she have a male MUSLIM barber cut her hair? What sense does that make?

Are Canadian troops still involved in combat opperations in Afghanistan? Last I knew they are not.

A while ago I was in a tribal community. Someone said I was American and I said "no British". The woman said "Oh. We have trouble keeping all your tribes separate in our heads."

Maybe you should send out a note to the Afghanistan people that the Canadian soldiers still there accompanying troops with guns are only there to provide training and only shoot people as training?

Where should these Afghan's protest these bomings? In Canada? I'm pretty sure that's not called a "protest" seeing as how everybody here agrees that the Taliban shouldn't be suicide bombing anybody... Who would you be protesting against?

Or are you wanting to know why there aren't Muslim's protesting the Taliban IN Afghanistan? If that's the case then what do you think the Afghan National Army are doing? I'm pretty sure they're protesting the Taliban by laying their lives on the line.

I thought we are still there training only AFGHANS. What AFGHANS do with that training is up to them.

I guess when your family get killed it is not that easy to understand when you are a primitive savage that needs the west to come and control your country.

Stop shooting 15 year old schoolgirls or throwing acid in their faces. Or, are they blaming the West for that as well? Maybe they are blaming the U.K. for saving that 15 year old girl's life.

Making the world safe for western business interests ?

Sadly Avx, and Rock when you invade a country and create a government to rule the people the way you want, some people get upset. :)

So you're not allowed to protest the war in Afghanistan (that's resulted in countless civilian casualties, illegal detainings, etc.,.) because somebody from your "culture" threw acid on the face of a loved one??

I admit, if one of these protesters were an "Acid thrower" then I'd feel compelled to tell them they were pretty big hypocrites.. But something tells me that these women who showed up to protest weren't involved in anything like that.
