I think that part of the great run that Felix had under Pat Burns was the superlative shut down defence that played in front of him in those days. Oh for a defence like that today.

I remember a great interview with the ex cop Burnsie. He was talking about the sound of gunfire. Explained that being at the firing range, he was used to the sound. He went on to say that in bad guy situation, that a perp shot at him and it sounded very different. Made a buzzing sound as went by him. He was quite a guy.

Baun was downright scary. I remember watching Bobby Hull streaking down the wing, looking up and knowing he was going to get clobbered. 90° turn and slapshot before he hit the blueline. Baun would be a good defensive pair to Salming.

I remember being to the Landing Strip the day his picture was pastered ont he front of the Sun, with a blond. She was a stripper at the club and was horrified about the attention. She did enjoy the partying with him though!

Are we talking when they actually played for the leafs, or just the player in general? Because while his time wasn't so great here, I'd put Lindros on the list. How about this list for guys in their prime? Actually, the only guy I'd switch out to actual tenure in TO is maybe Lindros for Andreychuk, and Belfour for Cujo.
