"The suspect was described in the past as a black male, with a heavy build and short hair, who approached victims from behind and molested them before running away."

in that g&m article...so it sounds like this kid was smacking asses and running away giggling like a fag

the media is making this into something more serious, from what I got from the media he would run up to women, assault them and run. he would probably grope them and run for a thrill.
Still in other jurisdictions that could get you a sentence of up to five years.

So it certainly is not an "oh never mind" offense.

I remember what it was like to be 15. Just like Amanda Todd (who was 16), one is already several years deep into having sex (for guys it's usually sex with girls of similar age, for girls the sex could be with anybody of any age). Since rape is the commencement of non-consensual sexual gratification involving penetration, this arrest isn't terribly surprising in that respect but it was pretty bold for a 15 year old. Like others said, it may well be a slew of sexual assaults than actual rape. Both types of behavior fall along the same continuum.

You're initial comment seemed to say that it was the media which was reporting the kid 'was' pulling the women in alley and raping them. That was the report I was expecting.

how the fuck did you get that from my previous comment? you have a serious problem of never admitting a mistake no matter how small

A misunderstanding is one thing, but at least I`m not a liar like you. As far as not admitting i`m wrong, you`re not paying attention, again, as I`ve admitted it a number of time, not that I`m often wrong but certainly a lot less than you.

This a big problem that the media are talking about these days. When the police say "sexual assault", everyone assumes it's rape. If someone gets off by pinching someone's butt and running away, the police also report it as sexual assault for legal purposes. It's not right to pinch someone's butt without permission and he should be charged, but a distinction should be made in the degree or type of sexual assault that it is.

All the women in the area assume a rapist is running around attacking women when it could or could not be the case.

YEP. back in the day when I was 15, touching wasn't look at a sexual assault. Rape was rape....some freaken fat dude who work as the high school nark touched me, flip me upside down once as I yell for the SOB to put me down as he hold me up by my legs...everybody just laughed about it...then after I graduated high school, I seen some kid was suing the guy for raping him...I considered myself lucky...and was also confused cause the guy like never hit on me..so I thought but now I look back and figure he was checking me out when he was holding me upside down..I guess with my face by his crotch

I'm sure the guy touched my butt yet I thought little of it....today I guess he would have been charged with a crime, lol...but then we could smoke at school right outside between classes..so I guess it worked out even, ha ha

HAHAHAHA

Blacky my boy, you even quoted him where he said "wasn't"

LOL - You have to see the humor in that at least????
As I said a misunderstanding, not much more.

The BS this guy shoveled in the P&IA forum and here about knowing everything he needs to know and calling anyone who sees things differently as mindless idiots, or some such things, has to be a few bricks short a load. The scary part is that some will believe his advice. I don't remember anyone else being permanently banned from the P&IA forum alone. It's a bloody arena, much more lenient than here. Then he thinks he has a noteworthy legacy there that others should emulate.

Equating a quick grope through clothes with violent penetration is an insult to those who have actually been "rape raped" (thank you for that phrase, Whoopi).

Careful, just a word of advice. Fred even gave you a warning about your posts, as do the mods often, but you apparently didn't heed his advice. Another lie will not go over well. You even accuse me, in a pm, of getting you banned, when I actually suggested to Fred, I believe in a post, you be allowed to stay.

Doesn't anyone think it's strange that a 15 yo is out and about in a park, molesting women, at midnight and later? I'd be interested in hearing what his parents (probably a single mother) has to say about that ....

If he even has a mom, she'll probably say he was a good kid, that she's shocked, and that she doesn't believe the charges against him. All in tears.

Always be wary of mothers. They're like battered women. They'd sooner kill you than admit that their kid is a fuckup.

In law, there are 3 levels of "sexual assault":
Sexual assault
Sexual assault causing bodily harm
Aggravated sexual assault

"Sexual assault" means unwanted touching.

He was also charged with "criminal harassment".

Canada is the same. Also, I don't believe msog has any source for what he has said. There have been several female columnists recently in Toronto daily newspapers who have been sharply critical of the police for not providing more details. It is the police who have simply said it was a "sexual assault" without any further qualification, it is not the media that is witholding the information--the media is complaining about not having better information to report, and publishing editorials arguing that this lack of better information has been irresponsible.

They have said he approaches his victims from behind and assaults them, but they have not said whether that assault is violent, whether it is a groping, or whether it is a full fledged rape. Since it's a 15 year old kid, I'd BET it's towards the minor end of the spectrum, but certainly the police have not been forthcoming with details of what he was doing.

If he really has been charged just with "sexual assault", and not aggravated / causing bodily harm/ with a weapon, then it's most likely groping and not violence. Hopefully.

His uncle was on cp24 claiming that the police made an error. That he is not that type of kid. That he would never do this. Looks like the kid was living with his uncle
