Well having received some great advice here in the thread, and even more in PMs I have decided to call mom and tell her we are formally inviting us to move in when she comes up for the grandson's birth. Oh I broke down and asked the sex . The curiosity was driving me crazy.
She has already seen the cabin and on suite and ours is separated from that section by a bulkhead that makes it pretty much sound proof. I am still a little nervous but I am confident we can make it work. Thanks a lot for your help.

LOL I just got a mental flash from the cold war history class where we were shown a video the American's used to teach children to duck and cover under desks and news papers in the even of another nuclear war. I used to get those classes and if you want a more moving visual, it's a museum display in Ottawa that shows a class of public school kids hiding under their desks with the nose cone of a ICBM tearing through the classroom ceiling.
