Who should be the Blue Jays next manager?

Ryan Sandberg was hired about 10 days ago as the Phillies 3rd base coach, and some expect him to replace Charlie Manuel when he retires.

I hope the official announcement comes soon. I don't understand why they would give Lind away for nothing. I am aware of his salary and I bet Boston is too. Boston was dumping high salaried players last year so I question them taking on Lind's salary. If he goes to Boston and comes anywhere close to being the hitter he once was AA looks pretty foolish especially with Lind remaining in the same division.
I wonder who they have in mind for the position. They must have done some home work before making the decision. A new manager may mean new coaches too.

In that case their list is not only short but also outdated.
I think Francona signed over a week ago, maybe two.
MLB deserves complaints if that is current for them.
There may be other candidates once the WS is over.

I believe Brian Buttefield would be the best choice.
Always work from within the organization. Cito had no managerial experience when chosen and the idea that you need a manager with actual experience is not written in stone. Plenty of managers have shown success in their rookie season and have developed careers.
Butter's due. He has a huge baseball IQ. He knows this team very well and Wakamatsu, Walton, Murphy and Hentgen would probably stay.
Other teams have already showed interest in his abilities.
If A.A. doesn't at least offer him a formal interview this week, it's tantamount to a slap in the face to a worthy candidate for the position who has shown serious dedication to the team.

Butterfield is an outstanding coach. Coaches don't always make great managers. I have not seen anything that indicates Butterfield is interested in the managers position nor have I ever heard of him being interested in or interviewed for any managerial positions that have been out there.

Pena, maybe.
Sciocia will likely stay with LA Angels. At least for another season.
I kind of like the idea of giving Trammell a shot. Did he not manage the Tigers for a season or two ?
What has Wilson been doing ?
I also like Butterfield, Hale, Wallach and Sandberg.
