Its been over a year since I have been to Harvey's. Since they have been pre cooking their burgers the taste is not the same. They use to have some Harvey's outlets at the entrance of some Home Depots but they all went belly up, they use to cook them to order there.

Home Depot on the Queensway in Etobicoke still has a Harveys, not sure about grilled to order. Those patties look brown when they go on the grill, and have for years. Might be a way to reduce liability in safely handling hamburger.

Harvey's was great for burgers when they first opened with one back in the 60's and my Dad would take me there. Eventually they franchised and then they went downhill. :(

Harvey's at Dufferin & Lawrence used to be my "go to" burger back in the day, i.e. late 60's and 70's. It was a tasty burger.

Hmm. Standalone Harveys all over the place up here - and the burgers are as good as they ever were.

I had one of their Great Canadian (or something like that) bugers the other day and it was really good. A 1/3 lb of beef with all the usual fresh toppings. Was a good burger. Still taste as good as I remembered them being. I had onion rings but they really sucked

In all honesty, Harvey's burgers suck. There are so many places that make a better burger in Toronto. The only place I'll order a burger from is one where it's done on a flattop grill and you can order it medium rare. The flattop is the best way to cook a burger and if they'll cook it medium rare you know it's fresh ground from a whole piece(s) of meat. Burgers don't need filler, just the right blend of meats and the right amount of fat. Sprinkle with salt, flip flip and you're done. Top with desired condiments. KISS Yum!

I stopped by a Harvey's Saturday night just to have a quick bite but there were two better places I should've gone to in that Queensway/Royal York area.

James Kirk is right.

+2, harvey's burger is the only one I can eat from these fast food chains. My fav was super burger wrapped in tin foil which is thick and juicy. Not as good as before now but still beat the rest.

I had a Zetburger for Dinner. This thing is a meal and a half fully loaded. Much larger than a Fiveguys burger.

The last time I had a Harvey's burger I was forced to make a mad dash to the can.

What's wrong with making your own, it's not that difficult!

So you are at work, hungry and you just whip out your hibatchi and light that bitch up in your cubicle? Ya that seems like a great idea. Do you live in your backyard?
