I use a toilet brush and Comet.

I usually just clean it with my morning piss, moving it around to get out all those pesky brown stains.

Whenever it looks filthy - i.e. daily if applicable. I use a 30/70 solution of vinegar and water - spray it on, leave it for 5 minutes to kill all of the germs, then wipe off. Always love crapping on a clean toilet.
