Hi All,

I had a question, do you use your personal twitter account to follow SP's? Or do you use a 'alternative' account?

Thanks

Twitter is easily searched. There are even plugins for email that will find twitter, linked in, and a few other conenctions for people you email with. (Mostly for work, not home email though.) Use an alternate if you don't want it quite public as to who you're following.

Alternate account and email address. Any SP's I should follow besides Angel M?
@VIPKylieDaniels, @JessieSommers, etc..etc...
Many of the Cupids are also on twitter. Just take a look at Jillian's account and her Cupid's list.

@MUSEMassageSpa @Riley_Muse @Miss_Emily_Muse and some of our Muses & Reception are there as well ;)
For @MUSEMassageSpa and @Miss_Emily_Muse, I get "Sorry, you can't follow this user (because they're blocking you)." No issue with @Riley_Muse.

Really? That's odd. I'll take a look & see what's up.

Am I the only one who doesn't actually "get" Twitter? I mean really, what is the point? Why should I give a crap what some random jackass thinks about anything? I always hear talk of hashtag, trending, blah blah blah. While I was watching the Olympic coverage on CTV, everytime that blonde chick came on and talked about the social scene (or whatever she called it) I changed the channel.

Can someone explain to me the significance of Twitter?

I get breaking news about everything on twitter, before checking news or sports sites for the full story.

Sure, if you're using Twitter to stay up to date on strangers' eating habits, then it's pretty useless. But that's not the main reason why most people use it. It's actually a wonderful platform for broadcasting stuff - really cool things you've come across on the Intertubes, your newest article, news that's relevant to you, and a whole bunch of other things. Think of it as a sophisticated notification centre. How do you share something with a thousand people? Mass email? A post on your obscure blog of which 4 people are aware? No, you just tweet a link to it. And conversations are public, too.

Significance....to make people feel partially important (everyone wants fame right? [note the sarcasm]) based on the amount of friends they don't know and updating their daily menu or how laundry is frustrating.

**Breaking news update: Twitter went down for two whole hours in Miami for two whole hours last tuesday, soon to follow the tragedy instagram went down. How people are coping? At a local cafe a woman is walking around showing her plate to people, and tagging is back now that tweeting is gone!

Tweeting to all your friends is far more efficient than having separate conversations.

I prefer BBM (the only thing I prefer about BB, and only until Iphone 5 comes out), because I don't need my shit archived in the library of congress for all eternity.

Well, I'll bet you a thousand dollars that nobody on this site knows a thousand people personally. Just because someone follows you or friends you or whatever, you don't actually know them. So do those thousand acquaintances actually care about what you liked or think about something? Or am I just being old-fashioned?

Seriously, I can't think of one person I'd actually like to follow on Twitter.

U don't need to know them. Take "Shit my Dad Says". Hilarious to follow. So hilarious it became a book, and a show. Or..ur fav sports team. Get the lastest updates, trades, scores. Or a restaurant or store to know up to the min specials/events/promos. Or ur fav MP or SP to see special photos, schedule changes, promos, or general banter. Twitter can be a lot of fun. Esp for businesses. All social media is is a big web to get people talking about your brand/product.

@CupidsEscorts is a good one to follow. Some of Jillian's tweets are quite funny.
