From someone I know who works around the Blue Jays.........
Jose Bautista's injury is much more significant than the organization is letting on.
It is felt that ticket sales would suffer if the true nature of Jose's injury was known.
Bottom line - my source says to expect the Jays to dance around Jose and his injury with the fans and media for the forseeable future.
Believe me or not, I don't care but this is a person I trust as they work closely with several Jays on a daily basis.

Somewhere
Definitely not cool to deceive the fans like that if it's true.

However I'm pretty much looking at this season as a wash at this juncture so might as well give the kids some playing time...

It was widely reported today (the Blue Jays announced) that J.B. would undergo a 2nd MRI on his arm.

There is nothing in the original post that is not public knowlege.

I just feel bad for Jose. Before he got injured, he was leading the league not only in HRs but in outfield assists. He was having a hell of a season. It would have been tough to get all his other fielding numbers up, but I was rooting for him to get a Gold Glove to go with his inevitable Silver Slugger and Hank Aaron awards. Wouldn't that have been something? I look forward to seeing him play again when he's healthy, and not a moment sooner (even if it means we don't see him in the line-up until Spring training 2013). If I see him take a major league at bat which results in him crumpling over in pain again because they rushed him back to chase this stupid coin-toss wild card game, I'm going to be extremely pissed. Jose being on the disabled list isn't going to stop me from buying the occasional ticket for a weekend game.

Like I said.
Believe me or not I don't give a rat's ass.

It's gcostanza - nothing but a troll
I've been called worse, by better people.

Of course, almost anyone else calling me something would be by a better person than you.

We must have agreed over the last little while and I do respect some of your points.

On the flip side I respect nothing about gcostanza
All he does is come on here and belittle and degrade other members
He must get a perverted sense of enjoyment out of trying to make others feel poorly since he does it so often
I respect terb and most members but I do not abide internet bullies
Ever

Jays are done for the year. Better for Joey Bats to take all the time needed to get healthy.

MacGowan (ya, he is still on the payroll) and Hutchison are due for surgery this week as well. Hutchison's is Tommy John, meaning a year off.

McGowan is probably done. He is diabetic which will result in a slower healing process. Hutcinson a year plus.
Bautista should take as long as he needs. Don't come back until completely pain free. Jays aren't going anywhere with or without him this year. Just make sure he reports for the next season completely healed.

Here
I am not surprised by the latest news about Bats.

As I said before, tendon or ligament injuries typically take at least 6 weeks to heal.

Too bad he won't be able to compete for the home run crown which would make it 3 years in a row!
