In THE OLD days... There were no agencies putting in money, etc. That was something that came after.

In THE OLD days... Everyone paid their own way, got in for no cover, and would spend ridiculous amounts of money on alcohol and food (when food was available).

The ONLY thing that happened was we got a SC on board so we had preferred seating. At most places we were in 1 area the whole time... For the Brass it was one area, and then when we hit certain numbers we were moved upstairs.

I remember the one in Niagara falls one year at seductions was a great one. Great turnout too. The dancers there didn't mind other sp's being there because, they were providing the same service in the v.i.p.

OK, this is my suggestion. We all agree to meet anonymously at a classy place like the Thompson hotel rooftop or Deq Lounge at the Ritz. The key phrase would be, "Hi my name is xxx, are you a member of the Royal Hobby Club?" If the person says "huh, what's that?", then you can improvise and say that you're an art, stamp or coin collector, or an arms dealer and make up some bs. If they wink and say "Yes, your majesty ", then it's game on and the rest is up to you. This may ultimately turn out to be a flash swingers night! I would actually bring the SP I'm seeing now as my date! LOL

Organising Terb party is a thankless job.

Just deciding a location is a nightmare. Downtown with no free parking or suburb which is not TTC-able?

Entertainment for the party is another one. Musics? Expensive live band or cheaper lousy DJ's? Strip tease in a SC?

The best Terb party ever was at MidwayInvader in Mississauga 2 Christmas ago. Lot of space for the biggest crowd for the Terb party history. Lot of free parking. Lot of sponsorship and one of them provided free transportation from downtown and from the TTC subway system. Free in-house strip entertainment and two performances by a special feature.

It kills me that so many of these industry parties are on Wednesdays or Thursdays (I understand why they do it, though); I'm dead for work the next day..
