Toronto is far from his first choice. If he comes here it will for the money. If the Raps sign him I hope it is an incentive loaded contract( if they can do that in the NBA)!
Incentive loaded contract . With all the tickets and Jerseys sales and all the Charities that would help he would hang up the phone ( which I wouldn't blame him ) if you approached him with a incentive loaded contract . His salary would just replace Calderon's and if he gets them to the playoffs then it would pay for itself .

I am not a fan of bringing in great players that have seen better days. Frankly if he were offered an incentive loaded contract and hung up the phone, so be it! Don't care!
If he wants a ring let him have it, if he wants money make him earn it!

You make your comment like it's your money that they will be giving him . The Raps have only 1 player making over 10 million and 15 to 20 million dollars in Cap space . Every Free Agent out there your going to have to outbid for and will he be overpaid from the moment you sign him and so why does Nash have to Earn it . I think a player who was second in the league in assists last year has what you said earned it .. Every player you pay for your paying for what they did as much as what they will do .

To make you happy the Raps could front load the contract 12 million first year 10 million dollars and 3rd year player option at 8 million dollars .

Could you imagine the perimeter defense, even worse than a Calderon/Derozan backcourt.
I would much rather they managed to get Lowry or even Dragic, then only Derozan would suck shit back there.

Watched Mccown's show for a bit this P.M. Sounds like the Raps will do everything they can to get Nash. Suggestion was 3 yrs/$30 million. Nash reportedly interested and has many friends and associates with the Raps, from trainers, coaches to execs. According to the show's pundits, the downside is if he doesn't sign, getting a top name free agent here will be near impossible.
Knowing how hard it is to get free agents that actually want to play for Toronto and put forth an effort, I guess if the Raps are going after him, they had better sign him.

Maybe Jose goes to Miami, does a lot of interviews in Spanish and gets a ring if he doesn't care about earning more $$

I have said Nash is coming to Toronto for a couple of months . All I have read in replies ... No way ... Stay tuned ..
I hope you're right, but there's not much to bring him to TO, a lot of people thought Darvish was a done deal too.

I think the Nash rumours are misdirection of where he will end up and just a ploy by his agent to raise his stock.

At this point in his career he is likely looking to play for a contender.

Only way I could see the Nash thing happening is if he has inside info that a deal to bring another star is in the works as well.

Just fantasizing here but is Rudy Gay a SG? I'm leary about him but if him and nash came that could be quite the talented backcourt.

But that's just a pipe dream.

30 million reasons ie that will his reason . Some say way too much but only in Toronto / Canada wil it be worth it . Let's not forget it was the Raps present GM who brought him to the Suns and paid him more then anyone else was willing to pay him at that time .

Why would you Aniesty Jose if something like Nash ( veteran PG ) wasn't in the works ?

The Toronto Raptors could have traded the eighth pick for Kyle Lowry, but they held off, choosing instead to aggressively pursue Steve Nash.
