Racism in Eastern Europe

I've always wondered why Russian SPs seem to have more racist tendencies, and I chocked it up to their cultural baggage that they've brought over here from the Old World where they grew up.

The following video doesn't look at Russia, but instead the Ukraine and Poland. Is what happens on soccer fields in EE indicative of how racism is an accepted norm there?

I'm trying to think of a sporting event equivalent in North America where this type of thing would be condoned and I can't think of any.

It is. The video is extreme, and most people are not that bad.

However, the situation is real, and if you are a visible minority, yes you need to be very aware of it. In some places even if you are visibly (by dress) a Westerner there may be problems.

The two feed off each other. Gypsies are distrusted and discriminated against, hence many have to resort to a life of criminality, or growing up in such an environment never have a good shot at "going straight" since they regard non-Gypsies as Rubes.

The Canadian government changed the immigration rules because the gipsies. Just last 2 year 7000 gipsy come just from Hungary and many from other countries.
Most of them criminals and they do the same lazy lifestyle in Canada what they did in Eastern Europe. Welfare tricks , credit fraud, stealing everything what is not too heavier than 50kg and 80% of them are never worked a single hour. The taxpayers paid tens of millions dollars for those fake "refugee" claimants.Those guys are the worst nightmare of the Canadian Government.

It is sadly true. In my friends apartment building, few gipsy families live. Their men and women are always hanging around the front door, chatting and killing time. I was told few weeks ago they stole someone's milk bag and ran into their apartment. Building super caugth them on security camera.

Racism is rampant the world over. It's not just a black and white thing. Alot of this goes back a long way and is deep rooted amongst their respective backgrounds.

Unfortunately, my limited experience with Gypsies has been that they're by and large a tremendous blight of society. They take leeching and uncivility to a whole new level. It literally is their culture to live freely off the backs of others.

racism is completely normal for humans. it allowed us to evolve. now that we are more sophisticated we no longer need it and have moved very rapidly to an equal opportunity system. some people are slow to change. especially first generations from other countries. this is separate from the "gypsy" phenomenon as i don't think anyone suggest they are a separate race.

I noticed a lot of EE strippers that worked at the Rail during the 90's were anti-semites and very anti-American.

A fair amount of "sour grapes" I would suspect.

From my observation, most Russians like Americans, they may dislike U.S. policies (not infrequently based upon poor knowlege and government news sources) but they like Americans.

This liking usually connected to the fact that when Americans and Russians meet in Russia, Americans are somehow expected to provide alcohol.

Perhaps then I just know the wrong sorts of people.

However, I will agree that in the business world there is a certain truth to what you say but you could substitute "Westerners" for "Americans." Further, Russians definitely do not subscribe to the idea that someone you know casually and only through business is your friend.

Gypsies are genetically identical to East Indians, that's where they originated from. Now how many gang related food court shootings you think those countries ever experienced? I wonder why.
