This is old news.

Many biblical scholars (ahem) have been saying this for years.

But don't tell the American Bible Thumpers - they still treat Revelations as gospel and are actively hoping for the end of days so that Jesus comes back to earh in corporal form.

Elaine Pagels is a noted scholar, however, I'm not sure that I entirely agree with her theory.

What, however, there is absolutely no doubt about is that there was great controversy over including the Revelation of John as a canonical book. St. Gregory of Nazianzus among others argued forcefully against its inclusion. It might be noted that Revelation is the only book of the Bible not read as part of the Liturgy in the Eastern Orthodox tradition.

I read somewhere that the whole Bible is just a bunch of made up bullshit.

If Jesus came back in Corporal form would that be a Major event?

In general, that could be correct, as there may be a colonel of truth to it, but its best these matters be discussed in private (unless you've got a warrant, officer...........)

Hopefully with my face in a pussy
Well you should read a little more slowly next time.

I read in many accounts that what was written has often panned out through archeological findings
The occasional archeological match-up, but nothing of consequence. No garden of Eden, no ark of either kind, no tower of Babel. And certainly no proof of any kind of miracle. Many works of fiction are set in places that really exist, the bible is no different.

You obviously have a problem with allegory, many non-religious people do.

I believe they discovered artifacts of Noah's ark in Turkey! And yes there was an actual arc that held the tablets of the 10 commandments. It's suspected to be somewhere in Ethiopia but it is real.
