A neighbour upstairs moved out and left a littler of guinea pigs. My land lord took the 3 males, and I took the sister. Since she was housed with all her brothers and she's 10 weekish, I am assuming she will be pregnant?

I've been breeding and raising meat rabbits for a few years for myself and family, but I have no idea about a possibly pregnant guinea pig. Any help is appreciated, there's actually not a lot of preggo piggy info on the net.

haven't a clue but if you call your local pet store they might be able to give some advice without the expense of a vet visit?
He breeds and raises meat rabbits. What do you think he does with those?

Ha ha ha actually I was wondering how many people would think that LOL! Reminds me of Mr.slave getting a gerbil up his ass ha ha ha

I have quite the zoo, rats, pet rabbits, dogs, horses, a bird, reptile and fish. But my meat rabbits are for meat lol. Obviously they get eaten! But I plan on keeping this piggie as a pet as long as she passes quarantine.

Thanks for the advice, I found a friend that works at a vet clinic so I will be taking her for an xray to find out if she's gonna have pups.

P.s my name is Casey and I am a She lol. People hear 'meat rabbits' and assume I'm a dude lol

Thanks! And its called 'cavy meat' in africa apparently.
And don't worry, she is not a breed of guinea pig that would produce good meat. That would be like trying to make stew from a mini lion head bunnie ha ha.

There's a bistro that serves Boar, venison, Kangaroo, and alligator meat. I'm contemplating trying the kangaroo and gator! Anyone else tried those meats?

I've had fried alligator. It wasn't bad. Had ostrich once too... that was delicious. Reminded me of beef tenderloin. Bull's balls (aka Mountain Oysters) are also very tasty!

I had gator in New Orleans.
I think any animal would taste good if you spiced it right or smoked it. Last week I had smoked eel but I'd have to be blindfolded to try barbecued mouse.

I have been on a few airboat rides and lessons here in Miami, well not in Miami, streets are too dry. Each time they feed us alligator and occasionally snake. Depending on who cooked it, it ranges from OK to delicious.

While shopping for a boat we ate at Fudpuckers and had great alligator. They raise them for food.

You should start watching "Swamp People" on the History Channel. It can be very entertaining!

Casey, the one constructive thing I know is that you need to feed your Guinea Pig a slice of Orange a day. Guinea Pigs and Humans (I'm not sure about the great apes) are the only mammals that can not synthesize vitamin C and hence must get it from their food.

nice pets actually. My son insisted on getting a rat when he was younger, bought the cage, the animal and all supplies with his birthday money ... how could I say no? Her name was Jasmine.. she used to lay on my neck under my hair and sleep...it was nice and warm there I guess lol ... she was super cute when little and cause we watched her grow she stayed super cute in our eyes. people used to freak out when she came crawling out from under my hair though...lol
Saw this movie when I was a kid (i.e., not the more recent remake) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067991/
