No, what there is, is a recording of a 911 call in which a voice (presumably Zimmerman's) says something - not into the telephone, which may or may not have been that phrase, I believe to have any clarity on the issue the recording will have to be sent to a sound lab.

Quite a conclusion to jump to.

Yes it seems that there was a physical altercation but we don't know what occurred between the time that Zimmerman started stalking the kid and the kid jumping on him. It is possible that Trayvon had a valid self defense argument for hitting Zimmerman, it's possible he saw a fat white guy following him and hit him, it's possible that Trayvon jumped him for no reason.

From a Canadian perspective, there was no need for Zimmerman to follow the kid, no need for the kid to hit Zimmerman (if that was the first physical act), and ABSOLUTELY no reason for the kid to get shot.

Beyond that, Rivera is an idiot for blaming clothing.

Maybe. Of course the legal case would have to determine what happened up to the point where the kid was on top of Zimmerman as the witnesses saw. If Zimmerman pulled his cop wannabe attitude and grabbed the kid, the kid would be 100% justified in fighting back and Zimmerman should be found guilty of at least manslaughter. If the kid hit Zimmerman for no reason, it would be thug like but still not deserving of being shot.
