Joe Oliver (friend of Zimmerman, journalist and BLACK) said he knows Zimmerman personally and is vouching for him in that he truly doesn't believe that Trayvon's death was racially motivated on Zimmerman's part.

Zimmerman didn't say "hey my black friend is going to speak on my behalf" or "hey I have a black friend".
So your comment isn't valid here, his BLACK FRIEND came out and spoke about his thoughts of Zimmerman.

My point is, a BLACK FRIEND Of Zimmerman's came out in defense of his friend's character. Simply saying he (Zimmerman) never gave him (Oliver) any reason to believe he was a racist in any way.
That's A PRETTY BIG BOLD thing for a person who is BLACK to come out and say when a huge majority of blacks want to kill Zimmerman.

But judging by the guy's background (journalist, and seeing/hearing him speak, I'd venture to say he's not stupid).

So be it. Let us assume he is not racist. Is he then allowed to run after a kid and shoot him for the only reason that he is wearing a sweatshirt with a hood? I might add, that the 911 operator or was it the police told him NOT to follow the kid??

Maybe after he got off the phone with the police, the kid turned around and confronted Zimmerman. Ever think about that?

I had a few black friends in high school and we discussed racism openly and honestly with candour. No holds barred.
One black guy came out and brought up Chris Rock's "blacks v. niggaz" bit and said he agreed with Rock and brought up a few of his own points in fact.
A friend of mine is gay and he himself criticizes other gays who are excessively flamboyant and over the top, since he's not like that and it gives gays a bad stigma/image.
...and guess what? He's right. Many people think all gays are overly flamboyant and over the top and my friend is the polar opposite.
So much so, you'd think he was straight, but he's not.
