The antipodal point for any place on Earth, (or any spherical object), is the spot diametrically opposite. In cartoons and folk lore, you end up in China if you dig through to the other side of the world by way of the center of the Earth.

1) Where would you be living, if your antipodal point was in China?
Somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean near the tropic of Capricorn. Some parts hitting land in Chile at the latitude of Santiago, and Argentina at the latitude of Buenos Ares

2) What is the antipodal point of Toronto? (relative to a city or land mass, if it's in a body of water). Within 500 miles is good enough to get this right.
Somewhere south of the Indian Ocean at the approx. latitude of Tasmania. East of Australia.

Chile and Argentina are correct, but further south than Santiago and Buenos Aires.

I don't know what you're trying to say here. North, South, East and West don't change below the equator. Southern Africa is west of Australia, for example, whether you're in Colombo, Sri Lanka or Kotzebue, Alaska.

If you are in Toronto, you are in the Northern and Western hemispheres. Your antipodal point then must be opposite and be in the Southern and Eastern hemisphere at the furthest point. Just as the the antipodal point of the North pole must be the South pole.
