I had always though that prejudice was something that happened because you had enough experience to know a group existed, but not enough to know that they are just people.
People are not often prejudiced towards yack herders in Bhutan because they mostly never meet or hear about them.
I think I am becoming prejudiced towards short men. Not little people, just short men. It feels like men over 4’10” and less than 5’ 5” grow giant chips on their shoulders instead of personalities.
I had a BF in high school for a few weeks who was in that range, and he was a little bully. Even if he was cute I just could not cope with it. It just got so stale. I assumed it was just him.
I have been reading posts here from people like short men and they remind me of him. The insecurity and the whining and the bullying and the anger that life is unfair to them are so similar.
If I have a daughter, I think I may have to instill in her a prejudice against short men
