Do short men make you want to avoid all other short men?

I had always though that prejudice was something that happened because you had enough experience to know a group existed, but not enough to know that they are just people.

People are not often prejudiced towards yack herders in Bhutan because they mostly never meet or hear about them.

I think I am becoming prejudiced towards short men. Not little people, just short men. It feels like men over 4’10” and less than 5’ 5” grow giant chips on their shoulders instead of personalities.

I had a BF in high school for a few weeks who was in that range, and he was a little bully. Even if he was cute I just could not cope with it. It just got so stale. I assumed it was just him.

I have been reading posts here from people like short men and they remind me of him. The insecurity and the whining and the bullying and the anger that life is unfair to them are so similar.

If I have a daughter, I think I may have to instill in her a prejudice against short men :)

LMS (Little Man Syndrom) is actually quite common and very distinctive once you are familiar with it. It will manifest in various degrees from a general mild overcompensation to a full blown domineering attitude towards everything. In country boys it will be obvious in the size of the vehicle they drive, in the city it will be in the dollar value of their vehicle. There are many other behaviors that will present, rude behavior towards service people, an annoying sense of entitlement and bravado and some become downright abusive. For most tho, it's more of an annoyance than a true inconvenience. These of course are simply my opinions on the subject...

Is he gonna start a thread about an SP marrying a client?

Where is this going?

If you train your daughter to avoid short men, does that mean in 20 years Partyman won't have anyone to see? I feel bad for him already.

Actually someone told me HOF was 5' 3" yesterday in chat. And somehow it clicked. Maybe chat needs a height restriction? Like Disney? You must be "this" high to play here?

I think you are already desposed to prejudice. WHY? Because any intelligent person knows that just because you find a bunch that are one way does not mean all are that way. For example, I could go into certain areas of the city & find black guys that are or acting like they are gangster thugs. Would I not look fooolish & in fact be an idiot to think most black guys are this way. Perhaps in coming to this site , is like going to certin areas of the city. It may just be a place more disposed to attract discruntled men, short or tall. I read many threads & comments from men of all sorts of heights , ages & nationalities around here that seem discruntled towards women. Not now going to say all or most men in the outside world are disgruntled with women. P.S. I have met my fair share of short guys who were charming, or at least friendly & nice guys. Met lots of average to tall guys that are not. Each person is his own & may have is own set of problems, issues, baggage. Sometimes you can work with them & it is over come. Sometimes it is an initial defence mechanism. Try to go out in the world & meet people with an open book. Try to meet them & get to know them without trying to pre interpret them. Each person is a fresh new unique person & not like anyone else in every aspect.

Why were your 'Gangster thugs' automatically predisposed to being black? You'd have made a better point if you didn't fall into the stereotype, and used maybe.. white gangster thugs, or female gangster thugs..

You went black, and that exposes your predisposition to prejudice as well.

That is my point: do not look at a particular race , colour & thus think all are like that. Of course there can be white, asian, mexican italian, gangster thugs. Just using one example to express the point

If you go back to this time last year, someone had me banned because he claimed I was Loki. I had to go through a lot of crap to get that mess cleaned up and get back on Terb.

You just listen to idiots to much :) The person who launched that rumour said Zebb was easy to fool. I even offered to attend a party provided he attended as well and I could say hi the way he deserved. He told me it would be a waist of time because Loki would just hire a model to pretend to be me. I never figured out how the model would look like my PM face pictures but who knows.

By the way I met Loki because of that incident. A silver lining.
