This was probably one of the calendar days lost when they converted from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian. The Julian calendar had a leap year every four years, and the Gregorian calendar omits leap years in century years that are not multiples of 400.
Just so. Nothing at all happened on September 3, 1752 anywhere in the British Empire, because there was no such day.
Wikipedia said:
Britain and the British Empire (including the eastern part of what is now the United States) adopted the Gregorian calendar in 1752, by which time it was necessary to correct by 11 days. Wednesday, 2 September 1752 was followed by Thursday, 14 September 1752.
Getting Alaska 'up to speed' after the Seward Purchase made a similar, larger gap of dates that never existed there.

Yup a dubble dubble and a 6 pack of pineapple crullers.

It was a form of a dedication to a dedication.

Jimmy Eat World's Authority Song was:

dedicated to John Mellencamp's Authority Song (different song, same title)

The album which J Mellencamp did this song on was originally dedicated to the Stones.

Know of any songs that were double dedicated?

As a matter of fact which CANADIANS, ordered triple triples and a six pack of pineapple crullers.... the crullers in case they had to bribe Police on the way home?

Beach Boys were at their peak during the British invasion..was it them?
No, good guess.

It was "Wooly Bully" by Sam The Sham & The Pharoahs from 1965. It sold 3 million copies and was the biggest selling American song of the year, yet oddly never reached #1.

When the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock, what food was so plentiful that all they had to do is to pick it up, cook it and eat it?
