Maybe I should post 40 or 50 times on the queen. Then I can also be super cool guy winner like blackrock.

Although I suppose by the end of the thread his post count should hit 3 digits. Sigh, I guess I will never be as special.

BTW am I remember this wrong, or didn't a certain person claim not to be obsessed with the queen. I could go back and look, but I guess I don't have the drive to win the special Olympics. I guess I will never be super cool guy until I keep a terb diary like some people seem to expect.
Cruel!!! But soooo fucking funny!!!!

What I don't like is people posting shite and lies about things,
Uh huh and how is that working out for you. Is there really no better way you can spend your life. Don't you hang your head in shame when you see IIRC oldjones sig pic with the guy saying he can't leave his computer because there is someone wrong on the internet. I am a complete an utter loser but even I have better things to do, books to read, DVD's to watch, porn to beat off to.
It is pointless enough to reply to every post where people post shit and lies about things one cares about, but if you have taken it upon yourself to act this way every time someone does it on terb on any topic, you are a sad and pathetic little man. 2 years and over 20K posts and you have not figured certain things out yet.
Hell if I went that way just on shit I cared about, I'd have no time to do anything else. I admit it is tempting, many times I actually write up a post and just cancel it because it is so utterly pointless and the last need I need is to read a reply by some mouthbreather [like yourself] who just doesn't get it.

And yes I do know that by posting this I am being a hypocrite, and I if I continue to read this thread I will regret posting because it will just result in some Opie from Family Guy type response. It always does.

BTW I found a clip of woodpecker.

Fats, you must learn to temper your posts. If you are too cruel to the mouth breathers they will stop providing us wilth targets.

At least you know it and admit it.

Hey according to Woodie, I get paid to be TERB. I at least don't use my phone to contribute to TERBLAND. I have to work on my computers for now, so why not get some laughs and some education while I'm dong it. When I do leave for extended, I just leave, not advertise it or ask for feedback, I just leave and comeback. You haven't even noticed the last few times it's happened.

The Queen is a philistine who lacks an education, says David Starkey

The historian, well-known for his controversial views, (A statement along the lines of saying Ken Livingston is left wing) claimed in an interview with The Guardian that she is largely uninterested in her predecessors.
To which one says SO?

Is he attempting to make the largely indefensible claim that she hasn't been an excellent Sovereign?

While Professor Starkey probably also has "catty" comments to make about T.R.H. the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge this is certainly not one that applies to either of them.

I think I can explain that for you

However for this thread, rather suitable.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...stine-lacks-education-says-David-Starkey.html

The Queen is a philistine who lacks an education, says David Starkey

David Starkey, an expert on the British monarchy, has reportedly accused the head of state of being a philistine and being poorly educated.

The historian, well-known for his controversial views, claimed in an interview with The Guardian that she is largely uninterested in her predecessors and is only interested in her own reign and how she appears to the public.

When Starkey was showing the Queen round an exhibition he had curated about Elizabeth I in 2003, he claims he found her more occupied with the fact her gin and Dubonnet arrived late, than the works on display. He suggests that her only comment on the exhibition was on one of the objects which was hers.

He said: "She'd looked after them, she'd put in place much better arrangements for their care, but again - I suppose it's this absence of any kind of, to be blunt, serious education."

Referring to her Christmas broadcasts, all of which he has seen, he said: "It's quite fascinating, because her frames of reference to the monarchy, despite this 1,500-year history, are entirely her father and grandfather.
It's will be interesting to see if he shows up on June 3rd or will he lose his way from his corner box in Hyde Park.

Now you're reaching into your childhood artwork, nice.

That still doesn't mean I'm wrong about your weak post. You've confessed you're just baiting a select group and don't intend to contribute much else, certainly not worthwhile. Perhaps with this new style you should change your handle to Meisterbaiter.

I think the Queen is a perfunctory symbol that gives comfort to simpletons. Like the various religious leaders.

That many people need that comfort is beyond the scope of this discussion and my ability.
So a sort of gnostic conception that most of society doesn't possess the sort of wisdom and profound insight that you do. Leavened with a profound contempt for those that you regard as being inferior in intelligence and insight.

Wow you sound like a true bowl of cherries.

Engaging in an intelligent argument with you is an exercise in futility.

Upon a lifetime of considered thought and an open mind, I think the Queen is a perfunctory symbol that gives comfort to simpletons. Like the various religious leaders.

That many people need that comfort is beyond the scope of this discussion and my ability.
Others on this BB might disagree with you, but that's not new. So the British Prime Ministers that have expressed their positive opinion on her worth, as pointed out earlier by Aartie, are simpletons. Except for the two who openingly expressed their reservations of course.

I wonder how long he'd stand upright if he felt the same said the same about the King of Thailand while travelling there.
