Totally agree! It's a sad day when someone as untalented as this bitch can get big in the music business when real musicians that can actually play a musical instrument get passed over daily
Wrong.. He had his voice.. Vocals are considered an instrument.Sinatra did okay without playing an instrument.
That's being a little nit picky on definitions. Some consider voice an instrument others consider vocal music to be a style of music that doesn't invovle an instrument.Wrong.. He had his voice.. Vocals are considered an instrument.
sinatra was an average singer at best. anyone can sound good doing what he does. how many clones are out there right now that do the exact same thing with the exact same sound and he wasn't even the original of the era. he surrounded himself with talent so his averageness wouldn't be exposed. if was the legend he created of himself that drew people in.That's being a little nit picky on definitions. But okay whatver. Some consider Sinatra to not be a particularly good singer and argue that his personae and presence were what made him a star. Maybe the same can be said about NM that her voice is nothing special but it's the whole package.
When art became a business that's when things went down. You end up with clones, one hit wonders, singles instead of albums, hype over substance, looks/image instead of talent.music lost it's way a while ago, this is not a new thing. record companies kept the same deal with these new guys that they had with the old talented folks. difference is the old talented folks made good on it and dumped out 4 or 5 records full of good stuff and the record company only made money on 1 end, the selling of the record and touring. now they get a band to sign the same deal, the band has 1 song and 1 c.d but now the record company is making money on the cd's/itune sales and touring. then telling the artist they need to pay back what is still owed on the contract they can't fill.
oh and this site was built on nit picking. That's being a little nit picky on definitions. Some consider voice an instrument others consider vocal music to be a style of music that doesn't invovle an instrument.

That's exactly my point. And Nikki Minaj is no different average talent packed into a media/teen friendly package.sinatra was an average singer at best. anyone can sound good doing what he does. how many clones are out there right now that do the exact same thing with the exact same sound and he wasn't even the original of the era. he surrounded himself with talent so his averageness wouldn't be exposed. if was the legend he created of himself that drew people in.
1 hit wonders generate more money so that is what is pushed. the office is back in control of music instead of the band. half the bands going today should not be around, they are horrible on so many levels. When art became a business that's when things went down. Hell people like Janis Joplin would never make it today being average looking at best.
all that lady gaga type shit is.That's exactly my point. And Nikki Minaj is no different average talent packed into a media/teen friendly package.
Are you just rewording my posts? Music sucks because it became a business (long ago).1 hit wonders generate more money so that is what is pushed. the office is back in control of music instead of the band. half the bands going today should not be around, they are horrible on so many levels.
In your opinion. Plenty of teens that would say otherwise.all that lady gaga type shit is.
no i think we are agreeing and till trying to argue. did you hear that song that every 30 seconds the music stopped and they said barbra streisand. that is what music is now that the boss is incharge over the band, shitty music at it's finest. Are you just rewording my posts? who cares what they think though. they are told what to think and every week they are told to think something different and they go for it everytime. In your opinion. Plenty of teens that would say otherwise.
