elder ink will become a target of youthful derision and scorn.
LOL, Like everything else from your youth always does... Bell bottom pants, Disco, Afro's, Side burn's, 70's porn moustaches ala Magnum P.I, women's hairly bush's, The Dashiki, Wood paneling along the side of the 20feet long green station wagon that had trouble starting in the cold, twisted sister. etc.etc

Should I go on? lol
Have you ever sat down with the kids and went thru the ol photo album of yesteryear? Talk about derision:p
The circle of life continues.

There is one huge difference. Except for cheap wood panneling in your basement den, all the rest of this stuff goes away over time without costly treatments which will still leave markings. [could be wrong about the last point].

Clothing wears out. Hair can be cut, grown out, cars rust away, records and tape become obsolete and can be tossed out etc.

tats may be currently fashionable, but they have also been around for thousands of years. Sure, some young fools get tats which they will regret in the future, but others think carefully and select something that is meaningful to them for the rest of their lives. I haven't heard too many tattooed people mocking people who don't have tats, so I have to wonder what motivates the tatless to loudly and rudely pass judgement on others' personal choice?

Like the girl who wanted a Chinese tattoo that said "Precious" but instead got one that said "Expensive"?

standard practice to say that someone who did something you wouldn't do is a loser. easier to insult a persons choices in life than it is to look at your own.

I predict that the offspring of the tattooed generation will defy and rebel against their parents by remaining inkless. In 30 years time, after the ink fades, the skin wrinkles and sags, and what was once art becomes a spoiled souvenir of glory days, elder ink will become a target of youthful derision and scorn.
That'd be fucking hilarious.

What if you self identify as a loser and still say that someone who do things you wouldn't a loser.

I'm still right. They are blind followers that jumped on a stupid fad.
how the fuck can youngeneralize like that? They may be followers or they may have more freedom and nonconformism in their finger than you have in your whole body.

Silly you. If you were smarter you'd see that they constantly conform to other people with tats or tat culture in general. In other words.. In their quest to be nonconformists they've only ended up conforming anyway.. Became what they don't want to be.

Which makes them hypocrites.

Wow - permanent self-mutilation as form of free thinking and not following a fad. I guess lopping off every other 'nonconformist' finger from your hands would the ultimate in intelligent expression of freedom.
