I insult this guy by calling him a Troll and mentally unstable, yet he comes back for more abuse???
Do you have no shame or self respect?

We have an interesting dynamic here. Blackrock follows me around and responds to all of my posts yet I ignore his.

I tell you what Troll, lets make a deal.

You don't reply to any of my posts, and I wont reply to any of yours (not that I ever did anyways).

You must be a real hit with the ladies.
You're easy to follow around. Every time you post these days, the idiot alarm on my computer goes off.

I don't need to make deals with anyone, especially lippy newbs. If you think I'm obsessed with you, you must have known FUJI or his mother in a previous life. He also think that anyone that takes him on is obsessed with him. He's not one of the TERB members you want to be allied with.

RIP Jack, I hope those rumours about the massage parlour were true because it made him more human and indicated he enjoyed life to a degree. I am very shocked, I did not expect him to survive this, but I thought he at least had a year to go.
It's not a rumour. He admitted that he was just having a massage. He obviously also enjoyed Asians (like his wife). Yes, that unimportant incident made me respect him more believe it or not. While I don't support his party, I must say that he championed the causes that the other parties wouldn't touch. He accomplished a lot too, from Alderman to Leader of the Opposition.

I think Jack Layton seemed to be a kind, compassionate and generous spirit, and his passing should be mourned no matter what political stripe you wear. He was a great Canadian.

I would also say that he died for the benefit of his party - that last campaign's toll may have exacerbated his condition.

http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com...nto-a-thoroughly-public-spectacle/#more-48340

Here's the link to Blatchford. I'm not quite sure what she's trying to say, other than she can't bear to see the public outpouring of affection for Layton for whatever reason. (My guess would be that she simply doesn't have it in her.) If anything, she comes across as quite petty and perhaps even a bit bitter for some reason.

Anyway, as I said, I never would vote for the NDP because I don't like their policies for the most part, but Layton at the the end of the day was good man with his heart in the right place. Like most Canadians I was shocked by his passing so soon at such a young age. He probably had another 20 years to give and that was taken away. His death is sad.

The one thing that I have heard said, and it made me go - "yeah, that's true" is that Layton single handedly managed to destroy the Bloc Quebecois. Neither the Liberals or the Conservatives managed to ever do that. But Layton did. That singular thing (which no-one can take away from him - despite what you may think of his politicis (Blatchford)) was a huge contribution to Canada. Good on you Jack.
Here, here!

Now I wonder if they are ever going to reveal what type of cancer finally did him in. The one he survived from 2010 was prostate cancer, but my feeling is that this one was much rarer and possibly not related. If that's the case, that they were two separate cancers, then that's gotta be like being struck by lightening twice.

I just read that. I'm shocked. Completely shocked. It wasn't that it was completely unexpected, it's just the suddeness of it. It was just last month that he announced that he was stepping aside - temporarily. And now he's dead. You could tell at the press conference that he wasn't well, but you thought, well, maybe he has a shot at it. You never know. And bam, he's gone and at such a young age.

Love him or hate him, you can't say that he wasn't a dedicated man. He was a tireless champion of the "working man". There are not a lot of Jack Laytons in politics now or ever frankly. While he may have been too far left for me, I acknowlege that he was a counter balance to the right and I will be the first to say that he was a great Canadian.
I have to quote you to agree with you 100%.

Actually not. Cancer patients are far more apt to get a second cancer than a cancer free individual.

Cancer patients who has had the tumor removed surgically are just more vulnerable
to death from cancer progression or recurrence. Layton after his short-lived recovery from
his operation ended looked a lot worse than he was at the time of his diagnosis of
prostate cancer. Perhaps it was out of fear of causing too much anxiety to other cancer
survivors that Layton's second cancer was never publicized like his first one.

That is not what I was told by the doctor at the Mayo clinic.

My understanding is that is true if you are talking a stage 3 tumour which means the desease has hit the lymph nodes and is at risk to spread. Genetically it is still prostate cancer even if its somewhere else. From what we read this was something else that was only discovered in June or early July. It was obviously something very, very fast acting (which prostate cancer is not).

Hard to tell whether you are trying to be funny and are just a jerk or you really are that stupid.
