Recently heard a radio poll from the US (Philly station) and they asked "Who watches Jersey Shore?". They claim their poll came out 77% Yes and 23% No. I find it hard to believe that Americans would watch this abomination. So I thought what about terbites?

It is because it is an abomination that I watch it.

In a very dark place
I have never watched any so called 'reality' show of any genre. I can not for even a brief moment understand why anyone would watch a bunch of slug guidos playing to the stereotype. We have truly lost our way.

There are times when a good up chuck is good for the soul. About 5 minutes of watching these idiots give forth an argument for birth control. They're idiots of the first degree.

CNN. The U.S. clothing store, Abercrombie & Fitch Co., has offered to pay Jersey Shore personality Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino to stop wearing their clothes.

A&F posted a statement on Tuesday articulating its concern that Sitch and his Abercrombie threads (which can be easily spotted on last week's episode of him wandering through Florence with the rest of the Jersey Shore cast), adding that it could cause "significant damage" to the brand.

I'm not making this up! I swear! Additionally, Abercrombie has offered up a “substantial payment” to Sorrentino and producers of the MTV show so he’ll wear something (anything!) else. (The company is also extending the deal to the rest of the cast.)

LOL. Next thing you know, Jersey Shore will be a nude reality show because no one will let them wear clothes!

(edit - and a nude Pooki is a very scary thought)

I am sure some ancient Roman said that about the gladiators around 300 A.D. while Rome was burning.
Thanks for coming out Mr. Brainless Troll.
Back under your rock now.
That's a good little troll.
Seems like you are the troll dj. You post a provocative question, then slam people when you don't like their answer. And what the hell do gladiators have to do with Jersey Shore? That's a bit of a stretch.

First understand what the word "troll" means in this internet forum context.
Troll (*noun) = someone who posts on an internet forum board with the sole intention of de-railing said board from it's original purpose.
This dictionary definition defines what shack is and what shack does. Shack does not answer questions or contribute to threads, he "trolls" the board looking for personal confrontations for no reason that I can fathom.

I was trying to make an analogy about the decline of America in comparision to the decline of the Roman Empire.
Gladiators in Rome = people watch because it's an abomination = Rome so dies
Jersey Shore in America = people watch because it's an abomination = USA so dies

Is it really such a mystery that people watch these train wrecks because it makes them feel better about themselves?

Well, a troll is also someone who tries to provoke confrontations by posting inflammatory statements. It appears that is what you did. First you ask if anyone watches the show, then you suggest that they are responsible for the decline of the American Empire for watching the show.

And yes, I understand what you were trying to do. But it is a ridiculous analogy. Closer to the truth: America is increasingly populated by people like those in Jersey Shore and this is resulting in the decline of the American Empire.
