You are a whimp. Shoveling snow is a good workout.
If you live in a house in Vancouver you're cutting grass more than you know and if you live in an condo you're probably drying out you floors and drapes from all the leaky walls.
Unless of course, you're a sofa surfer, then i guess it really doesn't matter.
I live outside of the GTA simply because I love the tranquility of the country and the land available out here. But I wine, dine and entertain in the city. I've traveled all over the world and to many big cities. TO has it all. Restaurants,Bars ,Theater, gorgeous women, massage parlors, escort agencies, sports, shopping etc. Tough place to beat.
One role I was following / interested in was a gig in Monaco. The person who ended up with the role was given a US$500,000 salary, with a 100% bonus plus home purchased in Monaco.
Just saying ... for the right price ... without a doubt I'd leave town. But I've also travelled across the world for work ... it doesn't get much better than Toronto in terms of safety, cleanliness, fairness, cost of living ... as bad as the T.dot has become ... it's still tops IMHO when compared to other metropolitans I've visited.
every one i have met in this city is angry and ignorant and wouldn't give the time of day to a stranger. i haven't met anyone worth knowing (in person) and would not hesitate to leave. which i do leave constantly.
Because of my line of work I have had the chance to live in a few places. I will always call Toronto home.
I am the son of an immigrant couple and as a child we moved a lot -different places, countries. My dad's work took us all over but he finallt settled here. I'm glad he did. The thought of having to grow up anywhere else gives me the willes.
In general I like the city...its got a lot of convenience. If winter like weather can be shorten from 6 months to say 2-3 months it would be great. Also public transport really suck....a lot!
