I don't think that's true. I think if you expand the capacity of the subway more people will use it.In order for people to take transit it would have to be so frequent and plentiful there would never be more than a few people per vehicle.

If you go check the TTC website a janitorial supervisor gets paid up to 80k... they don't even clean anything?!?! they just tell everyone else to clean. Oh and have u looked at the TTC lately? its filthy...

This would never happen for one reason....................when do you expect them to do track work and repairs on the main line. Our system does not have spare lines that they can use while one gets repaired. The state of the system is very shoddy due to lack of funding and maintenance work on a work week consists of about 3-4 hours work. They have to wait for all of the trains to get back to the yard, then do a power-cut so people can work at track level. Last train usually gets to the yard at 2:30-3 am and the system starts up at 5:30 to 6 am. Not much time.You know, if TTC completes the planned extensions to Yonge, Eglington Crosstown line, et al AND makes the subways a 24/7 operation, I'd be happy to pay $5 for a ticket.
