Fucking Rogers TV

So i have all my services thru Bell, and i actually like them. But with baseball season coming up, and being a big Jays fan, i checked the schedule and realized that half the games are going to be on Sportsnet 1, a channel that i cant get with Bell, only with Rogers.

So I get a flyer thru the mail from Rogers saying that i could trade in my Bell receiver and get a free HD box from Rogers free. So I call up and talk to the representative at Rogers, and tell them that i just want Rogers put on One TV in the house, and i wanna keep Bell for all my services, is this possible.

They say sure, no problem, but since i rent the reciever from Bell all i have to do is show the technician my Bell bill proving that i currently have service with Bell. So i set up an appointment time.

3 days later get a phone call from Rogers Technician, and hes at my house. So I let him in and he gets everything out of the boxes and gets evrything ready to hook up. He asks to see my Bell bill, I show him. Then he gets behind the TV and starts follwing the cable from my Bell Receiver and starts following it out to my window, then he pulls out a pair of clippers and im like WTF.

He says in order for me to get the Rogers service i have to let him physically cut the cable from Bell. Im like no fucking way, this isnt what i signed up for, he starts bitching that i wasted his time, and that if i wanted Rogers i better let him cut it. I told him to pack up his shit and get the hell out of my house.

So i guess ill be missing half the Jays games this year :(

Make sure your local pub down the street gets SPN 1 and have a beer on those particular nights.

I'd rather buy a pint and tip my favorite waitress than give Rogers any $.

Total BS story from Rogers time to get media involved if you want and then an apology letter from Rogers. I suspect you;ll get some free or reduced fee service for a bit if you go with it.

Again, total BS. Did you get the tech's name so as to repeat his 'waste of his time' comment to the bosses. Nice guy.

That's a bunch of crap from Rogers. Call up the President's office and demand to talk to someone about your incident and let them know you're really steamed that they wasted your time because they didn't tell you on the phone they had to cut the wires, which I think is complete bullshit, not the other way around that you wasted the technician's time. You're a busy guy and can't afford to deal with incompetent service people that weren't complete honest upfront with you. There is nothing in Roger's promotion that says the deal is only good if they cut Bell's wires.

Tell you demand to have this done again with no cutting of wires or you'll contact the CRTC and relate to them this bullshit story, no where in CRTC regulations is a requirement.

Rogers is so full of it, never believe anything they say, be aggressive and demand service, you'll be surprised how quick they'll react, works every time with me, lol.

Sorry to hear your story. Sometimes I hope there is a God, so Mr. Roger has to pay for all the things he stole from us, Especially Skydome.

I agree with people saying........always WRITE WRITE WRITE.

Whenever you get into some sort of problem, always ALWAYS Always communicate thru paper trail. Email is good sometimes, CC to everyone you can.

This keeps a track, and "Head Office Customer Service" always want the problem to GO AWAY.

So they usually call the front line people to say.......Do whatever you need, I don't want to see this person's email again.

Please calrify. Did you mean Sportsnet 1? Or, did you really mean Sportsnet 2? I think you meant Sportsnet 2.

What is this Sportsnet 2 you speak of ?

Ok, I see the confusion. I get two Sportsnet channels, so I call them Sportsnet 1 and Sportsnet 2. Technically, I think they are Sportsnet Ontario (Rogers channel 502) and Sportsnet 1 (Rogers channel 395). I guess the Op is saying that he can't get Rogers channel 395 (we call that "Sportsnet 2" in the Rockslinger household) on Bell.

yeah i think its called Sportsnet 2, i have a letter written and im sending it out on monday, im also emailing a copy of the same letter to Rogers. We will see what happens. and ill keep everyone informed. Thanx for all the advice guys.
