I don`t have a problem with him yelling at her, but waiting outside was too far. As for nobody saying anything, the reality is is that they probably sided with him.

Swift kick in the butt would be best way of dealing with these slow fuckers

he says "you stupid bitch why can't you get your fucking shit together" I turn around and realize it is me he is yelling at.

The clerk is still ringing through my order so my brief phone call was not holding anything up he continues to yell at me very loud calling me every name in the book

You think this is acceptable behaviour when someone answers a phone while in line, not holding up the process? The guy sounds like a lunatic to me.

The guy was way out of line but as evrybody's stress level rises in this society folks seem closer to having flipouts over things that should be irritations.

Buddha would say let go of your upset and wish that peace descends on this soul as well.

there are many reasons why no one sticks up for anyone. people are in a hurry and if they stick up for you and things go bad they might have to stick around and file a report with cops, people won't stick up for anyone because they are afraid of getting hurt or yelled at, people won't stick up for anyone cuz they are just plain scared. this guy has something wrong with his head, i see nice tits and i don't yell i just stare at them until they move. i have nothing better to do and enjoy ruining bullies day's.

oddly enough no one yells at me in line but i am 6 feet tall and 300 pounds and i will not tolerate shit like that.

no one said anything because society as a generalization is full of cowards. being punched in the face hurts and if you have never had it done to you then it is a crippling fear.

meh - I live and work downtown and I've seen a lot of messed-up things.

I know Molly and I know she's a considerate woman and after hearing about what happened just after it happened, I have no doubt that she was victimized by this Shopper's drug mart jackass.

If I was in that store - as nice and non-confrontational as I usually am, I wouldn't have let her walk away without knowing others who witnessed what occurred supported her. I would speak out. The sad thing about Toronto is that we become so numbed-down that no one stands up and speaks out when it's the right thing to do.

But he did though.
because people in this city feel an overwhelming sense of entitlement. i promise you he has taken calls while standing in line at places. it is okay for him but not anyone else. it is a trailer park/white trash mentality "i am better than everyone else and the rules don't apply to me"

Oh, you're advocating giving Molly a swift kick in the butt due to the fact that her phone went off while she was in line...... Maybe ya better read her initial post again, the clerk was still ringing in her order, she wasn't holding up the line. He was angry due to the fact that he was being made to wait AND they only had one clerk on check out. Molly took the heat.

While I get a little flustered with people that are yakking on their cell phones and not moving their cars when the light turns green, (or with TTC drivers that text while they're driving the bus), she didn't deserve the verbal abuse or a kick in the butt... Unlike some other people

Molly,

I am so sorry you had to go through something like this, and no, you are definitely not being too sensitive. I suspect that this man is either mentally unstable/disturbed, or is in a middle of a breakdown and you just happened to be, unfortunately, in the line of fire.

I'm not surprised to hear about no one doing anything, probably out of fear of being harmed, or perhaps stunned out of the sheer shock of this individual. If I was there, I would have called 911 (after telling him to shut up).

Please don't let this person get to you -- I know you're a really sweet person and we all love you here. Not to mention incredibly sexy too!! ;)

what would you have said when you called 911 "someone in line is yelling and being mean can you send a a cop" what you should have done, what anyone in that line should have done is told him to shut his cum catcher and then if he got violent you call 911. do you call 911 when burger king gets your order wrong ?

Yes, obviously, and that's the one I am commenting on. If he comes on here and gives anoither version, then I can compare.

Until then, I have no reason to disbelieve her. Where you there so you can tell me otherwise?
Well said FH. Me thinks that quarter inch member is doing his best to get a rise from us. Just turn your back and ignor him....

To be honest this story has nothing to do with my life and don't really care. I'm just using this thread for cyber amusement.

His behaviour was atrocious.

But Molly...there are changes you could make too.... to avoid these situations.

I see so many people..mostly ladies - who are in line, get everything through and bagged..and only then decide to pull the purse up on the little shelf and decide to pay for stuff as if it is a surprise. You will note guys are always ready with debit cards. Women in a majority of cases are like "Oh..I have to pay for this? "

* Next time have card out and ready to go.

And secondly it is extremely rude to the cashier, among others to answer your phone while engaged with someone. You place them as second fiddle. Look at it like your playing ball with your kid...and as your kid throws the ball you walk away and pick up the phone. In all the articles I have read... it is plain rude. Wait and return the call in private.

Again - the guy was rude.... truly.

But if you follow my simple recommendations - you should avoid this type of behavior in the future!!!.

* So...NO PHONE CALLS - have debit card ready....VOILA....!!!!

Its like the girl who walks down a dark alley and finds herself getting raped. She knew she should not go down the alley..she knew it was dangerous..and it truly is the rapists fault for raping her....but your still raped and no one can change that.

He has already been discounted and proven as a troll, so I don't care much what he says. However I am just making sure no one else takes his spouting off seriously.
