My concern is that these houses could be targets of the "idiot set".

According to media reports, the Remembrance Day ceremonies went well and were well attended. Many young people were in attendance. To all our service men and women, past and present, we owe you a great debt. Thank you so much.

I can't get the map to work. It only shows the west end and I can't get the map to move/expand. I'm on a MAC using Safari so that might be the problem.

I live in the Bloor West / High Park Area and the area is FULL. Beresford Avenue must have had 10 guys die. All I could imagine the poor mothers on that street as the telegrams came.

Interestlngly also is that the Rosedale area was largely (but not completely in fairness) untouched. Ditto Forrest Hill.

I got goosebumps. These really were "the guys next door".

More heroes in Rosedale than in Lawrence Park, but then again I don't think North Toronto was developed until later on in the war. May also be true of Forest Hill.

East York shows remarkably few—at least east of Broadview north of the Danny—because it was mostly developed after the war, for returning vets. Interesting the clusters in working class areas around factory districts, though thaty may just be that the houses were closely spaced and many were multi-family.

Works OK in Safari for me; maybe it was just slowed by Remembrance Day traffic. It's a Google map, and the window doesn't expand. You just slide the underlaying map around with the cursor hand. If it doesn't move, the cursor's likely bumped up against the window edge.
