Considering that we have very few US members, that's no biggie. Actually guys like Woodie just use different words other than bigot.

I've been known to take a few anti American stances and I don't remember the last time these Righties as you call them ever accused me of being a bigot, even though PS, Aartie and I have banged heads hard on more than one or two occasion. It must just be a matter of degrees or maybe it's just your constant flow of negative shite.

Canada and the US have many of the same problems...our health care costs are out of control...we have not hit the point of the US but we are headed there. It is not sustainable.

I think that is obvious. The different between the US and Canada is that Canada attempts to spread the health care out evenly, based upon medical need.

Germany is an impressive economy, it has a monolithic culture, people and productive workforce, fascists are very productive and disciplined people after all (and make great cars, see Japan for another example).

Odd that France isn't used as the example, they have a unionized workforce and long vacations....

Perhaps isn't something other than the socialist policies that drives good performance, I've said many times that white gated protestant communities, be they Northern Europe, German or suburban US, tend to do quite well.....

Percapita wealth is only one measure. One big problem in the US is the distribution of wealth is very stratified and it is getting worse. Canada is similar but to a lesser extent. In the long run that will result in civil unrest.

I would agree but I think we can conclude that the US isn't going down the drain, especially when compared with Germany.
