These new Rocco Rossi ads are bizarre:confused:. They might even be racist. Why would anybody allow them on the airwave?

Disclosure: I am not Italian (even though I love Italian women and I have an Italian friend who does not work).

Do you have a link?

(Sorry but loving Italian women doesn't absolve you, lol).

Are you guys offended by Jersey Shore and their constant use of guido?
I really don't get why non-eyeties find characters like Soprano and the Jersey shore gang so interesting. To me, they're just uneducated lugheads with nothing much interesting to say.
I guess people like tp poke fun at those types, and by extension italians.

I saw a documentary titled "The Italians in America" on PBS narrated by Chazz Palminteri. Did you know that there is something like 800 million Americans who trace their pedigree back to Italy? Joe Dimaggio, Frank Sinatra, The Godfather, Dean Martin, Robert De Niro, Lindsay Lohan, etc.

He just turned into a cartoon.
We need another one of these guys on the 'take' like a hole in the head.
Of course that's what happens to most of those 'wise guys' anyways. A bullet to the head.

Didn't his handlers run these ads by a focus group before going primetime? I think he is doing a disservice to all Italians, especially my Italian friend who doesn't work (inheritance).
I thought you were referring to your mob friend? Tee, hee.

It's exactly as that Ryerson Poli-Sci prof said.
The ads may or may not be clever, but the messages about Rossi simply reinforce themes that, up to now, haven't been working -- such as the idea that he's not a professional politician.

I don't think the ads speak to the issues that voters care about, particularly high taxes and out-of-control spending at City Hall. In my view, they won't work.

A hint of corruption might bump up his numbers, look at how Ford's criminal charges helped him. Having wildly idiotic ideas is no longer enough to get a guy elected anymore.
