Are we not paid to leave?????
You most certainly are paid to leave; however, you and everyone else must remember that there are many undesirable types lurking in this village's shadows.

I used to work at a grocery store as a grocery clerk and there used to be regular customers that would come in every week and harass me with non-grocery related issues - like telling me about the problems in their life and asking if i want to go out for a smoke break or asking if i want to grab a coffee. It happens at every job, dude. Even secretaries get harassed on the job or from clients/customers, or cashiers - OMG! you think part-time cashiers don't get harassed by customers while on the job or if they're spotted by guys who shop at their store? Especially if the cashier is a female and is good looking?

It's not just because you're an SP.

First I'm not a "dude". I have worked in many restaurants where customers and staff would go beyond the being friendly point. Now to compare that to this is like comparing apples to oranges. Discretion is paramount here....I have no idea why you can not see that. If one of us was 'outed' doing such...our business would ruined.

And yes it is because I am an sp. There is no other comparison.

Can't even believe people still ask this question. You ignore each other, maybe after repeated visits, good chemistry etc you might give a friendly smile and then discuss protocol on a future visit. Some of the posters here seem to think they have a right to invade someone's privacy. You don't and neither do they. It's pretty simple ( although Natalie you do sound like you'd be fun to invade privately).

But she does advertise in 'public'. The internet is a public domain, is it not ? One does not even need to own a computer, just go to any library and away you go, it is free.
Also, if you 'Google' "TERB" it will lead you here. So "It's not like she advertises on Google..." is a matter of opinion.
It is the context of the advertising, not the medium.

If she had a banner on Google or the Weather Network, then it's obvious she doesn't care about becoming a household name like Xavier Hollander (author of The Happy Hooker).

Just because SPs advertise on the internet doesn't mean that it's okay to call them out by their SP identities in a public place where they are not working.

In the same context it doesn't mean it's okay to call out any client in public or in any forum. No matter what the issue is.

Except that Raven did just that. Apparently, she's no better than the guy that approaches her on the street and calls her out. She's revealing all his personal info to the forums.

Having double standards must make life pretty easy.

I don't want to start a lot of controversy but if discretion is so important to the OP wouldn't it make sense to not post pictures on the web with her face, or a face with a cock in it? Being stalked is a different story but having a pic with your face showing may be spotted by an acquaintance or someone with an axe to grind could easily copy that pic and post it elsewhere. Just sayin.
An internet photo of an SP's face can indeed cause her to be recognized in public by a stranger, but that fact alone doesn't justify that stranger's public acknowledgement of her SP identity, where it would embarrass her or violate her privacy and discretion.

Bottom line. YOU DON'T approach an SP in public and refer to SP related business. It is NOT acceptable. Sorry but its not. There is a code of etiquette in this hobby and this must be at the top of the list. Just as it is unacceptable for an SP to approach you, recognizing you from a previous encounter. Or to call you unsolicited. If one did this to me i would be outraged, and immediately post here and warn others of the indiscretion.

People in their day to day life want to keep this private. That should be obvious to anyone who is not a moron - sp or client.

Second, if a girl tells you to leave her alone - LEAVE HER THE FUCK ALONE!

Of course advertising in public will put one at higher risk to be targeted by nutcases. But that doesnt mean their behaviour is acceptable.

Again I disagree with you Terminator (you're thinking too much like a robot).

FOLLOWING HER AND CALLING HER 15 TIMES threatened her security, which she has a right to report about.

its like when girls lie all the time about their weight, their height, their breast size, their relationship status, who they are seeing, how many guys they're talking to, how they feel about you, etc...

but when you tell them one lie. Suddenly, you're the worst kind of criminal to them.

I'm not talking about following her and calling her 15 times. As I indicated very early in this thread. I'm only talking about approaching someone and saying hello and how are you? and not going so far as slapping a girl's ass.

Obviously, calling a person 15 times requires police involvement.

AMEN MASSMAN!

Furthermore, that same etiquette applies to johns. Eg., if a john has a pic of himself on his employer's website, does that mean that an SP can discuss their business in public ("hey Charlie, when you coming over for another hummer? I can book you at noon tomorrow babe.") if she sees him at Starbucks?

No, in reality, it's like when someone makes a false accusation. There are 3 sides to every story; we're hearing one. However, nobody should hassle the gals but that's a perfect situation in a perfect world, and this is far from perfect!

Oh yeah, you aren't. You conveniently left that out. But you accused her of having a double standard without alluding to the reason why she did report him.

You don't have the right to know the truth about their personal lives. (That's covered in Hobbying 101).

Ok. Fine. Then I leave you all with this one last question. If its so wrong what he did. Then why is Raven going through all the trouble - in these forums - to go to the exact same level this guy is on - and revealing and smearing all his personal info all over the forums - instead of just contacting the police and simply letting them handle it - neatly and efficiently?

sounds like she's no better than he is - however creepy or as much of society's reject he might be.

I bet you would change your tune pretty qucikly if you were out with Mr. hamiltondude and an SP came up and approached you. Then one could say why see SPs if you run the risk of bumping into them in public? Do you see how twisted this logic is?
I see that there isnt a MR Hamiltondude
