Pappy went over the edge. He was hurling childish remarks that had nothing to do with the thread, and I tried to warn him he was going too far. The thread he started about woody I think finally did it. Maybe it will encourage him to post something useful for a change, but then old habits die hard.
As pappy would say, you're entitled to your opinion. Woody can be extremely annoying and repeats the same tired phrases so often I'd like to dope slap him. Pappy started to get a little mean for no reason. Don't know if there's something going on with him but his frustration with things in general was obvious. Hope a bit of time in the cooler will do him some good.
Wow..when did this happen?!?...i saw a thread earlier(I think it was the one about Jimmy Carter energy policy), and saw that they agreed on alternative energy for cars ,and printed it,framed it, and put on my "holy shit, hell has frozen over" mantlepiece.i love listening to these two.
It's like watching a print version of spy VS spy.I've had differences with Papa on just about everything ,but I have the funniest feeling if i needed to storm the gates of hell and needed back up ...if the cause was right..he'd be there.Shame about the time out.Any idea how long he's got to learn a new instrument at banned camp?

Agreed. I read a little of that thread and all I could think was - where is this coming from? It's not like the two of them don't have enough to disagree about!
That's a bit of broad use of the term "trashing".I think these gents actually have a mutual respect and alot of it is good natured ribbing.
Seems to be a trend lately- sending prolific members to banned camp. (Now if only I could figure out how to post a rolling eyes smiley- where's CG when you need him?)
CG really enjoyed his posting. Over 13,000. Almost 25 a day!! I average .71 a day and I feel like I'm wasting the day away!!
Pappy and I were born in the same year. I posted what I did to point out that he's been playing the same tune for so long it's going to be hard for him to change. Plus the only instrument he can play anyway is the kazoo. Gonna be hard for him to upgrade.
He was. Woody has also been given a time-out. Can't say I miss their back and forth. It was like terb's version of the Sunshine Boys. A stale, old vaudeville act that everyone got sick of years ago.
Did you hear, huh? Did ya? He's back. Those of you that don't visit the darker corners of this forum might not know it yet, but he's back. Ya!!!!
