A quick question how many of you allow signs on your property for your local candidate? I had one come up to the house once to put a sign up, and I told him no and I told him the reasons why a vandalism, they don’t clean up after themselves as soon removal of signs. And the biggest reason why I don’t put signs up this voting is a personal matter I keep to myself others if they want to express support for their candidate I have no problem with that. Now I’m in Brampton I think it’s worth seven and eight there’s about eight people running for councilmember, now I remember a time when the candidate actually went up to your house knocked on the door introduced himself and explained his platform so far I had one candidate come to the door. The rest is all flyers left in the mailbox. I figure if they’re too lazy to come to the door and introduce themselves they don’t have my support.

solid logic flyers are cheap but face to face interaction requires commitment if the effort isnt there the vote shouldnt be either

I had a Chow volunteer come to my door. I asked him why violent protests by mask wearing thugs continues to shut down city streets and intimidate Toronto citizens. When he told me they had the right to free speech, I asked him to get off my property

Free speech is one thing but violence has nothing to do with free speech

Not sure if anyone here listens to the Toronto Mike'd podcast, but I went to one of his events 3 years ago at GLB and I met Brad Bradford there. Brad comes up to me, shakes my hand and says "Hey how are you, it's good to see you again". Typical smarmy politician. I'm not from Toronto and had never met this dude before, let alone barely recognized his name (and only because of an appearance on this podcast during the mayor election to replace Tory).

I am out in Sauga. One candidate came to door, we spoke a bit.
No ask about a sign on the lawn.
I live on a sub arterial -we see more that 1000 cars go past in a day.

Sign from candidate pops up last week. Taken down by me same hour.
Ditto today.

I had my sitting councillor show up at my door at my condo today while I was on a work teams call, on a high floor no less, asking for my vote. He shouldn't have wasted his time on me, he's got my vote. (Mike Colle, if curious)

When they knock on my door, I offer a J and if they decline that's a lost vote. That's why years ago Rob Ford got my vote.
