LOL

59 Senators caucus with the Dems and he can't get 60 votes... what does that tell you.....

The moderate Dems who are afraid of facing the voters are waffling and THE ONE blames the GOP... classic.

Apparently you don't understand how the system is being manipulated any better than pappy. Fillibusters are too unreliable and the Republicans haven't used them much yet because the Democrats supposedly had 60 votes, though anyone who would rely on Lieberman would be fooling themselves. The Republicans have found it far easier to never allow a bill or a nominee ever to reach the floor for a vote in the first. Their use of secret holds has been unprecedented and a particularly cowardly way out.

You should try reading the originating post:

The broad economic bill failed Thursday when Democrats could not muster the 60 votes needed to end debate. The 56-40 vote fell four shy of the total required to break the GOP filibuster. Republicans support many of the policies in the legislation but are demanding changes to shrink its toll on the deficit.

Step two, pull your head out of your ass..... but it it hasn't happened by now perhaps I'm aiming too hight.

Another classy post by you. If 60 votes is going to be required to pass significant legislation it's not going to happen. The Republicans will simply say no. What is pathetic is that they are also blocking appointments and legislation from ever reaching the floor in the first place. There are plenty of examples that the GOP is obstructing seemingly just for the sake of obstructing to a degree unseen before.

Things must be wonderful in your world. Everything black and white. They passed it by reconcilliation with the House bill. The Republicans didn't want to play ball, which Obama should have realized before, but I've come to the conclusion that he is a bit naive. With Lieberman the Democrats barely had 60 votes before Kennedy died. To call him a political chameleon would be kind. Now they certainly don't have 60 votes, but what does that tell you? What have the Republicans done or proposed? Explain the mass of secret holds on appointments and legislation for no reason.

When JFK was elected President, there were many who suspected it was tainted. Eisenhower and Dirksen both believed that votes were fixed in Illinois and Texas. I suspect they were correct. Kennedy barely won, and yet his appointments by and large were not challenged. They sailed through. Obama won by a very clear majority. Fair and square, and yet Republicans have set up roadblocks from the beginning, on legislation, and on many appointments for no reason whatsoever. This is their strategy, nothing else.

El Rushbloe the self appointed Boss of the GOP and fittingly "Mother-of-all-Blowhards" summed GOP strategy best! They hope and are working for Failure! After 8 sorry years of Dubya & his DICK, they have plenty of experience in Failure!....

I don't think the POTUS has ever gotten beyond the "I won" view: http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/01/i-won-president.html

We'll see how he likes a Congress less tilted toward him in 6 months... if he can't work with his own party I think he'll have fun in the second half of his first term. If he learns from Clinton to adapt it will not be his last.

So ... we have a Democrat in the White House, leading a Democrat-dominated House of Representatives and a Democrat Majority Senate.

But it's the Other Guy's Fault that he can't get "anything" done.

Yeah, right.

The guy was elected, took office, appointed his cabinet, maintained and approved of most current policies of the Government he led, and now it's The Other Guy's Fault that Obama has done absolutely nothing to stop the continuing disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

I call bullshit when I see it. And this is it.

One of the things you need to understand about Obama is once he has an idea he is convinced it is a done deal.

Wrong! The MICs runs both parties. Need a friendly reminder?

Funny to notice that somebody who is repeatedly bi*ching manufacturing jobs in North America being outsourced to his favorite commie country like China by rapacious Capitalists/GOP`ers choose to ignore/deny the fact that MIC is part of the manufacturing industries and for national security, they could not be easily outsourced.

Your above rambling makes no sense. Only a total rapacious Capitalist fool would outsource national security industries! So given the GOP mindset, even that is possible!....

Hmm....why?

Plus why do you use Dwight D. Eisenhower, a GOP'er as your signature? Was he the role model for Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity?
