Yeah they seem to be more successful playing the counter punching game and waiting to capitalize on their chances.
Martin continues to look brilliant in matching lines and defense against the more powerful Pens.
The more shots Halak gets the more comfortable he looks.
Very interesting strategy and implication by the Habs. We'll see if it can last.

They call it "rope a dope" after Mohammed Ali. Even if Montreal never wins another game, they have already exceeded all expectations.
When I lived in Montreal, they said that Montreal always had a 7th man (or woman). The "7th man" is the ghosts of Canadiens past from Joe Malone to Howie Morentz to Rocket Richard to Guy Lafleur.
Is it Big Jean or Little Henri Richard who won the most Cups as a player? I seem to remember the number is an incredible 11.
Oilers got to the finals with a simillar "game plan" a few years ago. But it's been a long time since anyone actually won a cup being badly outplayed in almost every period of all their victories.
I still think the Habs will end up eliminated like Cujo's '93 Leafs & '97 Oilers. Hockey is not a kung-fu flick, while one man can sometimes beat 20, there's only so many times you can play that card.
Johnny Bower pulled a "Halak" back in 1967 when the Leafs beat the Canadiens for the Cup. The Leafs' punishment is to wander in the wilderness for 100 years.
Back in the day teams only needed eight playoff wins, two rounds, to win the Cup.
It is said that is what lead to the octopus tradition in Detroit.

? I would say roughly 50% because the puck guy tries for a pass and everthing gets messed up. When I played hockey and I had the puck I would almost always shoot, the other guy can grab the rebound if there is one.

Bobby Luo will make 10mil next season yes, but he is only a 6.750mil cap hit for the duration of the contract.
