They were unworthy to get 14, they should have had at least 20 Golds!!!!!!! I can think of at least 6 others that if performed at their normal level would have won gold, but still a great performance overall. This was a very powerful Canadian team. And it's Canada's 14th gold medal that's new Winter Olympics record. WOW!

+1 h o f !critics, when was the last time you won a medal at the olympics?
Done tongue in cheek, get with the program will ya.Critics, when was the last time you won a medal at the olympics?
Canada got lucky ? Maybe. The USA has a great young team lead by possibly the best goalie in the world. They will eventually get the gold.
I'm very happy that Canada won but they got lucky. They sat on their heels for over a period and nearly got burned. The Americans attacked consistently in the third, when the score was tied I figured momentum would bring them gold.
Congrats for the win Canada, in what was clearly a THRILLING game (I didn't see it...)
The best team won, no question...but I have to give a shout out to my boys on the U.S. side who were not expected to even medal and came within a single overtime goal of taking the gold. Given the youth of the U.S. team and the confidence that had to have gotten from beating Canada once and taking them to overtime in the final game, I'd say my boys will be chomping at the bit come world championship time...and are REALLY looking forward to the next Winter Olympics.
A pat on the back and a hearty hand shake to the victors, but you Canucks better pack a lunch next time...because its on....
Coming into the Olympics I had Canada, Russia, Sweden in that order.I had them, the US, second.
The Russians third. All they had was OV. Malkin never shows up for very long and Kovalchuk plays only when he feels like it.
Done tongue in cheek, get with the program will ya.
Sweden was not even on my radar and when I discovered Russia was using KHL players I put them behind the USA.Coming into the Olympics I had Canada, Russia, Sweden in that order.
I thought the US would finish 5th or 6th. They really impressed me. Being the youngest team in the tournment, they have a bright future. I see many silver medals for them in the future
If "ifs" and "buts" were candies and nuts, we'd all have a merry christmas. They were unworthy to get 14, they should have had at least 20 Golds!!!!!!! The very equivalent of watching college basketball.I love all the hockey threads......
But, as NBC reported, a third of the country watched a junior hockey game on New Years eve......
