Don't hold your breath. since being on this BB every day since the New year, Gayass is not too surprisingly absent from this forum and BF&I. Possibly hiding under a rock, doing an extra kitchen shift at the Westin, or on a junket to a religious retreat/spa in Bangkok. He'll have to resurface someday. It'll be interesting to see in what form. Can't wait to hear from him. He's so schpecial.

I believe he played a lawyer that was working with Denis Farina's anti-crime task force.
Also if you look closely you'll notice that Lang was in very good shape even then.

Guess who dropped by in the Political forum briefly? Gayass! I left him a note telling how much we'd like to hear from him in the Lounge but he could only drop a passage or two, one about himself, stay long enough to read some of the newer posts over the next 30 minutes, then he left quiet as a mouse. So sad!

AVATAR continues to dominate the movie box office! (And rewrite the record book...)
Current World Wide standings- #2 behind Titanic... with $1,615 million in box office receipts (Needs another $227 million to overtake #1.)
Current Domestic (Can/ USA) Standings: #3 behind The Dark Knight... with $505 million in box office receipts (Needs another $30 million to overtake #2.)
Still haven't had a chance to see it... Tried to get tickets for the IMAX, but sold out again...

Try just getting your tickets earlier in the day online. That's what I did and had no problem getting them.
For the IMAX- all 3 of available theaters in TO were sold out by noon Thursday for the entire weekend for any of the showings we could make.

But no so much when the prices are adjusted for inflation (as all movies should when ranked against others from different years)

It's just another example of 'fun with figure' but interesting just the same.
I was told recently by a good friend who is an unaffiliated film critic; says what she really thinks and therefore doesn't get invited on many junkets because of it, it's amazing and 3-D is the only way to see it. She bought tickets ahead of time and went to the theatre, but it was full and she had to wait for the next showing. The ushers let her in first and she got the pick of the seats. WTF over booking now; just like airlines.

This is why I will reserve judgment until I see it. At this point I'm not jumping out of my seat to go and see it, I don't have any great desire to watch cartoons and I hear the plot is nothing great. All I keep hearing are about the effects, so let's see.
I also loved District 9 but they are two different movies. One is typical big budget (biggest of all time) hollywood blockbuster with special effect galore and a happy ending. District 9 is more smaller budget from a relatively unknown studio and a more complex film but both are great and I enjoyed them both immensely.
Another minor correction - i believe his character in Avatar was a Colonel, not a Sergeant. There's a slight difference.
