Golfer Tiger Woods has checked into a Mississippi clinic well known for treatment of sexual disorders, according to WLBT.

Woods has checked into the Pine Grove mental health facility center in Hattiesburg, Miss., the Mississippi NBC station reported.

Pine Grove is said to be one of the top three sex rehab centers in the country. Officials at the clinic contacted by the station would not confirm the report.

At the same time, The London Sun reported that Woods may be seeking treatment at Montrose Place, an addiction treatment center in South Africa.

Johnny Graaff, head of Cape Town's Montrose Place clinic, said he could neither confirm nor deny that Tiger was there.

There has been no official confirmation that Woods is at the clinic as the mystery continues over his whereabouts.

Woods has not been seen in public ever since the scandal erupted.

Woods, 34, has been linked to a string of extra-marital affairs and is now separated from his wife, Elin Nordegren.

The couple have two children and Woods has stepped back from the game as his reputation rests at rock bottom.

This blogger really missed the point. I don't think many here would disagree that its natural for men to like the idea of having sex with many different women. As many have said, we are just hard wired that way. Tiger, however, has taken it a little bit beyond wanting to have sex with different women. He's turned it into a compulsion that has publicly humiliated him and alienated his wife and kids from him. If Tiger has checked into a sex addiction clinic, I think he has done a smart thing, both for his own personal happiness/growth, and as a PR move designed to win back his sponsors and admiring public.

I've never actually heard someone say before that to stay faithful to one woman is disgusting. I think more to the point, Tiger failed to stay faithful to his own principles, either when he took marriage vows and decided to raise a family, or when he designed and projected a squeeky clean public persona for the sake of tens of millions of dollars in endorsements., or when he decided that those things were not important enough to put some limits on his own self gratification.
