For the love of god people, it's a new format with a different colour...not the end of the world!! I'm sure that they will have settings adjusted soon so that it resembles the old format...get a grip. They should have waited until a less busy time on the server to do the upgrade. It could have been changed and the colours and settings adjusted and most people would have noticed little difference.

we just upgraded to 4.0 - this is the default look - we are working on it...

I like the "What's New" tab...

However, if you're going to upgrade at least have so that we are finally able to add a profile pic for the member name we have selected.

Other message boards (ie: music, sports) that use the Bulletin format, allow for avatar pics.

Well, the colour select works now!!

I am apathetic about the format change. I'm sure I will get used to it.

My issue is that I have to log in every time I visit, which is a pain. I check off "remember me", but it doesn't.

It's not just the colour, it's the entire format. Everything about this site is now different, from the basic layout of the pages to where the buttons are to do things. And some things are *entirely* different (not in a good way either), like how the private message system works, to even how I'm replying in this thread. The previous version of TERB was easy to learn, easy to use, and flowed in a logical, intuitive way. This new version 4.0 is disjointed, confusing, and counter-intuitive. It's not just a simple little case of some "tweaks" changing a lil' bit of this, a lil' bit of that, it's a *wholesale change* to a completely different format that's *inferior* to the previous one!

It's not just "going to be okay". This is a case of change for the sake of change which ends up making everything a bucketload worse.

As I said earlier ... Please, for the love of God, revert back to the previous version!!!

Agree with Futurelegend, this isn't the end of the world. I am sure there was a valid reason for doing the upgrade - bug fixes (and let's not pretend the previous version was perfect) and new features (did anyone notice we can now add/edit tags and search on them too?). Also associated with upgrades are the temporary loss / misplacement of previous features that were probably user customizations in the previous version as well. I'm sure the moderators will be working to get those missing / misplaced items restored as soon as possible.

Perhaps we can leave this thread for those who need to do some kvetching and get the angst out of their system, and someone could start another thread to report legitimate problems (missing features, improper functionality, etc.) which the mods can review and attend to. And BTW, a different colour doesn't count as a problem, so get over it! Smaller fonts could be an issue, but I've only noticed it so far in this reply box, so let the mods know where you think it's a problem (be specific!). Other than that, I haven't noticed anything missing (not that I spend much time on the board).

But it's even more than that too. Before TERB seemed to have its own "identity"... now it seems very generic and just like every other forum out there.

I'm all for change, but only when its a step forward... at this point it doesn't feel like a step forward.
