of course I doI haven't for the past 5 years. With clocks, computers and cell phones omnipresent, there's no need anymore.
Same here, but watches for me are like shoes for some women...I like wearing a different one every few days...The minute I get home it comes off...
...me too, BIG Time! My collection of watches is topping 425 these days of all styles, brands, models and values. It's the second biggest addiction in my life aside from hobbying.of course I do
I got a thing for watches

I wear a watch, it is one of my few indulgences, but come on.you're not going to be around a computer all the time ... a laptop or netbook you have to lug around, and you have to plug it in, open it up, etc.
buildings don't always have clocks around
cellphones ... similar to laptops, you have to lug it around, flip it open, remember to keep it on, hope it's charged, etc.
a watch is always on, can last for years on the same battery, and is immediately available on your wrist
A cell phone is still less portable/secure than a watch that wraps around your wrist.I wear a watch, it is one of my few indulgences, but come on.
What kind of cell phone do you have that you have to "lug" around.
Almost every cell phone available for sale in the last couple years is lighter than 5 or 6 loonies, has an external display so you dont have to open it to see the time, and lasts a week on a single charge.
And I cant remember the last time my cell phone was off. On silent while in a movie or in a meeting, but off...no.
Most Li-On or Li-Polymer batteries on cell/smart phones last for days on standby and can sustain hours of talk time. You only need to charge it, say, when you bed down @ night.which makes it unavailable and non-portable for hours
I disagree. It's one of not so many toys that a guy can have. Mind you, the guy cannot really wear jewelry except maybe cufflinks.I will offer that wristwatches will eventually go the way of the pocket watch, a quaint but almost non-existent anachronism.
