Virus - anyone else?

happens to me too. Just hope it doesnt log that Im on Terb at work. The tech guy better not rat me out to the higher ups.
Weird how this doesn't even seem to merit a comment from 'the powers that be'. But what the hell, the vast majority of the time here I run linux so why should I really give a fuck. I'm all right Jack.

Are you sure you got it through TERB, or maybe you kids went into a porn site together and accidentally grabbed something that points to TERB? What's the three (3) letter extension to the file? It is not an htm or html file, but written to trick you in looking like that. To find out in Vista or 7, go to the specific file in Windows Explorer/File Manager, right click it and go to properties.
I recommend you get Norton to remove it. Do not get a free-bee virus checker, that has nothing in it, really.
If it is on TERB's server as extra files during their vbulliten upgrade, hope they check it out.

It doesn't, it prevents you from getting fired from your job when the IT administrator at your work gets the report that your machine is infected and investigates to find out where it came from. Often those reports will list the URL of the website that you got the virus from....
My Avast picked it up a few days ago. But it is working fine now.
I gave up on Norton long ago, after my computer got infected and Norton couldn't figure out a thing.

If you find files like "Trojan.Malscript!html" and "REFFF_~1.htm.",
then you can physically access them and identify their 3 letter extension.
They release .exe files that act as spyware. Norton can't find those until
their own system has been updated. However, if certain files that do not
belong on your system do an "unauthorized access", you can go into your
system and delete them. If they run while trying to delete, go into safe
mode and zap them.
However, actual files in your system do an "unauthorized access" as well
according to Norton. Norton knows shit. You have to know your files.

They are both crap!
The only times I got any viruses was when running McAfee and Norton.
Since running Avast since 2006 I haven't been hit with any virus.
Now I run Linux that's better and more secure than all the above!...
Been seeing the same thing here. I haven't been on terb for quite a while and now suddenly since I've been back on my virus checker is picking up that trojan. I think just by typing Fred or MODS, the powers that be may be alerted to this thread.
I took a self imposed sabbatical from Terb and logged on yesterday and today. Both times I logged on my Avast caught a virus. It's the only time I have ever had a virus notification on this computer.
Should I be worried and stop logging on here?

LMAO! If you use Linux, then you'd know how how Norton and McAfee work, or lack thereof. That's what I'm getting at, going into the system beyond these programs.
