What happens if you want Microsoft Office for Ubuntu? Gee, I guess you're completely out of luck.

And yes, OpenOffice is available free for your Mac if you want it - ever actually tried to do work with it?

You could run Microsoft Office with WINE with Ubuntu but I don't and am perfectly happy using OpenOffice for my purposes.

or use fink and or darwin ports ...
fink is great because of it's similarties to apt-get and it's inclusion of dpkg (I'm a huge Debian fan on the server). I just wish it was as up-to-date with it's packages as macports is.

Oh get real!

What? You don't use OpenOffice on Linux? Got news for you - there's OpenOffice for Mac OS X!
I use and prefer OpenOffice, it comes with Linux.
It's just that some folks are so used to the M$ Office versions they don't want to try anything else. I even hear people in the Apple Store buying the M$ version for MAC, in spite of the salesman telling them all you did. They think they can't live without the M$ version, my sister is one of them people.
For her EVERYTHING has to be M$ approved or she won't use it!....

This is the reason my sister won't use OpenOffice. She heard it's incompatible with the M$ Office version, plus it 'looks' different....

I used them sites with M$.

With the Linux repositories, there is no need for them anymore in Linux.

The Month of Apple Bugs

I could spend the rest or the day posting these and still NOT have time to list them all...:D
And YOU PAID DOUBLE for all them BUGS!!!!

Why anyone would use buggy M$ & MAC is beyond me.....
Yep and all fixed and the new OS has none ... 2 posts about bugs from 2006 a list from 2007 all post 10.4.9 except one which effected 10.5 and did not effect 10.6 ..
the list of 224 Open bugs were the build u r presently using and only the Ubuntu specific .... all for free... since your time is obviously worthless.
I only sent u the list that Ubuntu tracks that are Ubuntu specific ... not any of the others from Open Source projects they adopt.
