I never got to see all of those videos, but from what I saw of Taylor Swift's video, it looked absolutely retarded. I would have picked Beyonce, Lady Gaga, or Katy Perry. MTV awards are bullshit anyways. All it does is market to a young, white 14-30 crowd and that's all they're about. So no surprise, country girl wins. What's sad is how everyone else who isn't white, not represented by MTV tries to emulate an image (this OC/Hill's Lauren Conrad bullshit), and eats it up, even to the "OMG" Valley girl bullshit accent.
But, Kanye needs to shut up, and people need to stop giving him a stage. Completely inappropriate for him to do.

The MTV awards and other award shows are a sham. The true talent does not win. These manufactured market juggernauts win. caters to the young crowd.
Case in point...it is in these award shows where a horrible movie like Twilight wins all the awards. bad acting,...terrible movie.
i have no idea how they choose these winners...i think the pick them from who the most popular is in these teen magazines or something.

But indeed Kanye West, was an arrogant jerk! Taylor Swift didn't deserve to have what should have been a wonderful evening for her ruined. And Beyoncé Knowles Carter showed that she is a lady and truly has grace and kindness as well as talent and style.

Some people are even speculating that this was all planned to boost the number of viewers on MTV, and also album sales of both Kanye and Taylor Swift.
