Recently in the media there have been reports that circumcision helps to prevent the spread of STDs, but on the other hand there are reports that circumcision is on the decline.

So a question, what proportion of terbites are actually circumcised?

I'll start the poll, stating that I no longer have a foreskin.

Stinky, you're right that women can also undergo an operation that is called 'circumcision'. However, it has a completely different purpose than of the penis variety. Also, I don't think any of the ladies on the board have undergone 'circumcision', whereas it would seem as to the polling results at the moment that about 40% of males on the board are cut. I don't want to exclude the ladies, if they want to make any comments though.

It is a terrible thing to compare the female genital mutilation that is practised in some cultures (including removal of clitoris) to circumcision.
A comparison would be shortening of vulva lips. This has become a growing procedure as more gals want the 'tidy' look that goes with waxing and full shaving.

BTW, despite huge amounts of anti-circumcision press, books, TV shows etc. I am DELIGHTED that I was cut. Gals love it- period. The medical benefits are pretty clear now as well.
We just needs better, safer local painkillers for the little bros.

I'm glad I was, imagine it really hurt at the time, can't recall though. Thing was I couldn't walk for a year after they were done.

It was pretty much standard procedure in the 60's when I was born. All of my friends growing up were cut as far as I knew. I don't think I really understood what it meant till I was about 17 or 18. It just wasn't ever talked about frankly.

So, I am a convertable.

I've never met a woman who has said that she won't suck a circumcised cock. I've met plenty who have said that they won't suck an uncircumsized cock. One GF I had once said that she had a BF who was an ardvark and it didn't matter whether he just got out of the shower after having scrubbed himself, there was always a smell there that she didn't like. And this was a woman who was a champ at sucking cock.

As a result, I'm happy to be in the cut crowd.

I have had women flat out ask me if I was "cut"! They would not have sex with uncircumsized men. I feel lucky and had no hesitation getting my son clipped. His mom was in full agreement, as she preferred her guys cut!

This is a dead argument as majority of women prefer cut (less skin is better, it's a oral thing).

I heard of a Rabbi in Toronto who who saved the foreskins from the circumcisions he performed . He actually made wallets out of them . The amazing thing about them was if you rubbed them a few times you"d have a suitcase.

The thing to keep in mind about circumcision is that it is generational, I am old and uncut, which is relatively rare. But the younger the guys are, the smaller the percentage that is cut. With women it is all about familiarity, in cultures where the majority are uncut, the women prefer it. So as time passes, women, particularly young women, are likely to switch preference from cut to uncut, I predict. So just because you like being cut, does not mean your son would neccesarily be better off to be cut.

I recall a conversation I had with a lady, while she was sucking my cock, she mentioned that she hated sucking uncut men, she generally refused. I was puzzled by this, and asked her what she thought she was sucking, she did not believe that I was uncut until later when I was no longer hard. For me, the foreskin retracts as I get hard, until there is no detectable foreskin. So I have never had a problem with a women avoiding it because it was uncut. Perhaps the poll should have been split into two options: uncut retracts, and uncut, does not retract.
