Very possibly but look on the bright side.

We now can load the trains with the garbage, roll them out of town and let the unions fight over who's going to clean up the trains...:)

If VIA does, although it is not as pretty a route as the Canadian (and the dinning service isn't as elegant), take Amtrak's Empire Builder from Chicago to Seattle.

Well, it's official the train engineers are now on strike.

At least they gave us a full refund on our tickets.
