Side talkers - that's the person who's driving a car with a passenger in the front seat. Everytime the driver talks to the person, they turn their head almost 90 degrees to look directly at the passenger that they are talking to, and the car veers to the right, or slows down (depending on the length of the conversation). Why are you doing this? Did you repeatedly have to visually identify the person next to you because you forgot who they were? For sure they can here you, they are only 2 feet away. I would suggest that the chances of them suddenly not being there while the car is in motion is pretty slim. Watch the road !
I see this on TV shows all the time. Sometimes cops are involved in a high speed chase while having a conversation about whatever. Many car scenes are filmed in a studio with the car stationary and the special effects causing the car to look like it's moving by projecting moving scenes on the windows. If the car has a column gearshift you can clearly see it is in Park. Doesn't anyone on the production team notice this and think to shift the gearshift to Drive?
Side talkers are not as bad as drivers who turn around to talk to people in the back seat.

Single serving coffee makers. With land fill rates rising every year, do we really need more unrecyclable garbage? Fangula George Clooney and the Mercedes you drove in on.

There's a new asshole in town....BRING BACK CRAIG FERGUSON!

George Clooney advertises for Nespresso, which are 100% recyclable.

When someone does not scoop after their dog leaves it on my front lawn. When the power goes out. When someone feels the need to parallel park into a space three car lengths big when they could have just driven in thereby holding up traffic (just encountered this on Yonge street). Driving behind a dump truck when a stone comes out and cracks your windshield. Getting a flat tire in the dead of winter on the highway. All levels of government. And related to but not exclusive to government, being lied to. When one of my favourite tv shows is cancelled because of ratings.

People who try to merge onto the highway doing 50-60 kph... especially if I'm behind them. I see this A LOT.

O

OnTheWayOut

People on 2 lane roads (one each direction) who drive slow then speed up when they hit a passing zone. Then slow down again after the passing zone. Related item .... people who cannot maintain a consistent speed .... speed up, slow down randomly. They need to learn about cruise control and use it.

Assholes who tailgate you even though you are doing 119 or more in a 100 zone (or whatever the limit is) and are passing slower cars. I gladly move over for them after passing but take my sweet old time. Or slow down a few kmh just to piss em off. Or both. If this happens on a two lane road I may "accidentally" drift onto the shoulder and pepper their grill with a few stones.

I'm already breaking the freakin law and you need to tailgate because you want to break it even more? If you need to tailgate so you can get enough momentum to pass I suggest you buy a car with a more powerful engine.

Oh yeah. And the ones who feel the need to slow down to change lanes rather than accelerate to blend in. Or wait until they are at the point of no return and cut across 3 or 4 lanes to make their exit while on the brakes causing everyone to slam on their brakes to avoid them. Is it really asking too much for you to slowly start changing lanes a km or so in advance of your exit? The things people do that risk their life and the lives of others to do is astounding!

• People who come to a dead stop in the middle of the sidewalk or aisle, so that they can peruse their phone. The next time this happens, I may just plow into them on purpose.

• People who use their phone while driving or in the theater, completely oblivious to, or uncaring of, how it affects other people.

• People who bring dozens of items to the express checkout.

The common theme of all this is inconsiderate pricks who are too self-absorbed to understand other people exist.

Threads like these are therapeutic - it's like Festivus and the airing of greviances

People who pull up in front of stores, rather than use the parking spots, because their time is more important than everyone else

People who leave shopping carts in parking spaces, rendering the spot unusable for another car.....it blows me away that people do this....if we all did it then that person wouldn't be able to find a spot and how would they feel about that?

The only good news......eventually somewhere, somehow, sometime inconsiderate people get what they deserve.
I pull up to the front of the bank and park - only because the time to find a spot, park, walk, get money, go back and leave would cost me 5X the amount of time. I think when someone parks and is gone for 15 min is wrong. And I wouldn't do this if there was a reasonably distanced space available. Then I'm just lazy.

Similarly, people who leave carts on the curbs instead of returning them. These carts have wheels and move and then hit your parked car. I also think any person who parks so badly you can't park beside them should have their cars keyed. Bunch of assholes who take up two spots

For the most part, I agree that slow people cause a certain amount of frustration to others who like to move quicker.
HOWEVER, I've learned over time not to judge people too quickly. Some slow movers may be moving slowly for reasons beyond their control. Maybe they're just older and not so quick any more. Maybe they have an injury that slows them down. Maybe they are handicapped in some way. Maybe they are on vacation and enjoying their chance to slow down and relax. Maybe (and I see this often) they are just completely oblivious to the fact that there is a world around them trying to go about their business.
Maybe, maybe, maybe, and the list of possibilities goes on and on.

When I encounter some of these examples, I try to be patient and understanding. I also look for an alternate way to get done what I am trying too get done at the speed that suits me.
I also feel fortunate that I'm able to live life at a fairly quick pace. Some people don't have that choice or luxury.

But slowpokes in the left lane while driving really get under my skin.
If you're not passing someone, move the f**k over.
I understand. But it's like the guy driving in the fast lane - move the fuck over. Have you ever tried to pass a group of people who are walking slow and blocking you from passing? No problem with slow as long as you move aside so others can get by - it's basically blockers who are asses.

smell of pot heads on a bus
Smell of pot in general is disgusting. And some people wear horrible perfume/cologne that is an assault on the senses. But this is NOTHING compared to people who have disgusting BO and now you are next to them in the elevator or subway, passing them so you get a whiff, or downwind while working out.

Let's not get started on the government and many government employees. Criminals is a better description and it makes no difference what party you are from, what your background is, etc. Most of them should be in jail for the stuff they pull.

Or you are driving in the lane they are merging into (usually happens because you are getting ready to exit).

Lol - I want to do this so badly (run into them). I also want to stop dodging the person that's so focused on their phone that they don't notice me. I dodge out of the way but if they run into me, they will go down. I'm bigger than the average person...

I will add people who drive without their lights on.

You would think most new cars have automatic lights, nope. This should not be a luxury/sport feature, people are stupid.

To those people who think they can drive with their parking lights on, know that your tail lights do not light up when driving until you brake, so basically your car is invisible from behind at night.

Even when they're the same size as you they'd go down, because they're not prepared for the impact but you are.

People who park in handicap parking spots ( not handicapped) drives me nuts.

People who stand in line at an ATM or Express grocery line and wait until they are there to pull out their interac or credit card.

Luxury cars with handicapped permits that park anywhere they want. I once saw one park in front of Starbucks in a no parking zone, and she didn't look that handicapped.

This is caused by digital dashboards which are always on. While dim, running lights create enough light in front that drivers don't realize their lights, thus their tail lights, aren't on.

The government has taken steps to correct but it won't be effective for years.

Very true. I don't get mad at people who drive with their lights off, because I know it's not on purpose. I simply try to get their attention and point out the problem.
Anyone not used to driving a new car are accustomed to their dash lighting up only when their exterior lights are on, and so they have a mental association: dash lights on = exterior lights on. Usually it's only a problem when they leave a lighted area, like a parking lot.

A corollary to this I can't stand the fact that a brand like Lexus (and many other expensive ones) does not have automatic lights and people just rave about these brands whereas every GM car I have bought since 1992 has automatic light control. :der:
