Isn't that a strange coincidence. An old family friend of mine just made a claim for lost bikes with our agency. ;)

Could we not use CG to refer to CycleGuy? I keep reading it as Cowgirl. It's messing me up.

Doesn't matter to me... but occasionally it gets confusing if Capital Guy or Charlie Girl is around... (or any of the other CG's for that matter, I think there are 5-6 of us...)

How about CG7?

I call him "2 Wheel Guy" sometimes because he has only 2 wheels and is missing a few nuts and bolts.

This event is the most exciting thing to happen on TERB since Joy "misspoke".

Hey 2 Wheel Guy. Glad you will be getting new bikes. TIME TO CLOSE THIS THREAD. Amen.
One last post then to complete the story...

Insurance is sending me the cheque tomorrow... so I found me a new bike:

It's a Trek (Natch) Full suspension Fuel EX 6.5...

It is being prepped and fitted with the necessary accessories and will be ready for pick up tomorrow! Just in time for the weekend! :)

My son will be inheriting my spare which he is quite happy with in fact!

Nice bike!

I've been considering a high end mountain bike, what do you look for in a bike? How far would you ride that bike on a path?

Thanks! I'm looking forward to my ride tomorrow evening! :)

When your looking at higher end mountain bikes, I look for comfort, smoothness, weight and workmanship. I am a "TREKKER" so when I went to my bike shop, they know me quite well, and I previously e-mailed them the heads up that I would be coming in. The owner is a guy I have cycled with on occasion, so he said to me... in the price range you are after, look no further than the Fuel EX 6.5. I trust his judgment because he knows my riding preference and style.

I ride mostly bike paths... I think the longest I've gone in one stretch is from Cambridge to Brantford and back... so about 80 kms... (There were a couple "breaks" though... it wasn't straight through.)

Nice, but mine must be an upgrade, it came with two extra little wheels on the sides of the back wheel.
